Thanks to everybody who applied to join the Game. As usual there were a lot of great applicants and it was difficult to decide who to fit in the game. In the end we decided to increase the size of the Continental division to 30 teams, from 26 teams, but still we cannot fit in everybody who applied.
To those who have not made it, I am happy to offer feedback as to why.
Here are the names of the new managers for the game:

Congratulations to you all. We have high expectations that you will all be active managers and really earn your place in the game. Perhaps this can be the first year where all new managers are still active at the end of the season? Let that be your challenge.
What next?
1. Well, you need to decide a team name and nationality. When you do, you can now use this thread https://pcmdaily.com/forum/viewthread....d_id=38121 to post team name, nationalities and abbreviation. (Obviously leave 'Current Team Name' blank)
You can't take a sponsor that is already in use, and please ask first if you want to use a sponsor that has been used in the game in recent seasons.
This does not need to be the same direction as included in your application. Also note that the sooner you do this, the more likely it is that a race from your nation will be included in the race calendar.
2. Create a thread in the Teams HQ forum: https://pcmdaily.com/forum/viewforum.p...orum_id=96 But first, try to think about what you want to put in it. Don't start spamming the HQ forum out of excitement, its your first chance to prove youll be a good manager for the game!
Please do not suddenly post in a lot of Team HQ threads declaring interest in riders they might have. And certainly do not make any offers for riders. This is banned for all teams until the start of the transfer season, when there will be plenty of time for such moves. Transfers will require some careful planning - not wildly charging in trying to sign every single available rider.
3. Get a jersey made for your team, then upload it to the Shirts Database in the ManGame 2015 section.
Then just stay tuned for more information, which is almost always revealed by a new thread in this announcements forum. The first stage will be creating goals for your team, which will come after a full calendar has been revealed. The first version of the 2015 DB will be released some time after all National Championships have been completed.

I am delighted to be on the list of future managers and hope I can prove myself a good choice in the next season. Good luck to every other manager as well, hopefully we can all stay on for many seasons to come.
I have just one question. What is the stance on unusual accents in team names? For example, the ð symbol is part of my ideal team name. It could be transliterated to d if such symbols are not allowed, as I understand it could become quite annoying if everyone has to revise their Icelandic alt codes whenever they write a report. |
