Hello Astana Addicts (Official Fan Name),
I'm just here to welcome you to the home of Astana Pro Team, which in the past has been the dirtiest team in cycling, however I am here to reassure you that we are aiming to run a clean team, I am of course the 3rd manager in just over a year, so the team has had a difficult first year, however I am here for the long term, and I aim to clean up the team and get rid of any riders I have suspicions of, if that means that there will be no Kazakhstani riders on the team then so be it as we need to keep a clean image for our sponsors and for the team itself.
Last year we had riders lost for doping bans in the shape of Iglinsky, however its good riddance in my book as doping is a sin and we need to move on and to learn that we can still win without drugs.
Therefore I will be making sure that we invest heavily in our youth development programme, and I hope that we will be able to find two more talented youth riders to join the team, Italian riders are preferred, however we are an international team and we welcome people of all gender, race and nationality.
