World Championships Route Vote - Part 2
SportingNonsense
So, Flat defeats Mountain in the first vote. Here are your three options then, with the World Championships heading outside of Europe for the first time in 4 years, and only the 2nd time ever in the ManGame.

Ulaanbaatar (Non-wind)
Doha (Wind)
Hamilton (Small hill)

The Ulaanbaatar course will of course be extended to a suitable World Championships distance, the profile is from the C1 race last season.

My vote goes to Doha with the wind to play a important role and mix up things little bit

Ulaanbaatar would be very interesting and really some new experience, so my vote goes there.

My vote goes to Hamilton because i think it would provide a few more opportunities to attackers whilst still being one for the sprinters to dominate rather than the strong men who might take over in a windy Doha.
No bias at all because my team is half Canadian next season Pfft

Canada because Wink plus it always nice to have some springboard for a break Smile

Slightly related question what position is Canada in the national rankings this year?? Wondering to compare with last year?

Not sure yet, the only time I will calculate them is after Vuelta a Colombia ends.

I'm torn. Ulaanbaatar is close to my heart due to the Mongolian connection plus our win there last season, but it isn't sacred to me in the way a race in Sri Lanka would be - Kandy WC would be awesome, just saying Wink

On the other hand, Hamilton would be really interesting from the perspective of puncheurs vs sprinters, which suits me with having the best French puncheur, plus Sonnery and Haussler on a nice parcours for them. It's going to be tricky to decide.

Doha would be very interesting. Teams will need a lot of strength to pull back late efforts from strong riders, but also the main sprinters need to be strong themselves. I once did a testrace there with the 2013DB I believe. The entire race was exciting with Belgium, Italy and Germany pacing for about 160km.

The sprint was unorganised, mainly because Gilbert was clear of the bunch... Very exciting Wink

Voted Doha as I like the havoc a good wind can create in the peloton changing everything in a matter of seconds. Always interesting to see which team and riders are best capable of handling changing race situations like that.

I have voted for Ulaanbaatar. If people want a flat World Championship, then I don't think Hamilton is very suitable. And I dislike wind, as I find it completely random, and I don't want a random World Champion. The best riders out there should win, so if "we" want a sprinter to be World Champion I think Ulaanbaatar is the best option.

I voted for mountains myself, but I don't think it should be somewhere in between as the hilly riders are already having a lot of wins from breakaways.

Voted for Hamilton,Canada as it looks like a possible action packed race and not just 260kms of waiting. Also i dont wanna see wind as a big factor...
I'll be back

Doha, but mostly because the Qatari government paid me several million dollars to vote for them.
