Hello PCM Daily !
The end of the year is usually the time for awards of all kind. I would like to open a little vote for the title of the best sportsman in 2014. Which competitor did the best performance in 2014, in all sports ?
I think everybody should make a Top 5, it could be much easier to see which names are the most quoted.

I'm gonna start !
1-Renaud Lavillenie (FRA) : he beated one of the most umbeatble world records, the one of Bubka. It's not a World Record like a basic one, it's Bubka's one. It's like if a sprinter could beat Bolt's record, because Bubka went so high that nobody was thinking that beat the ukrainan was something possible. He finished the year nearly invincible. He won everything he could won.
2-Viktor Ahn (RUS) : The best "revenge" of the year. Invincible.
3-Katie Ledecky (USA) : She beated WR of 400, 800 and 1500m. What else ?
4-Johnny Wilkinson (UK) : Winner of Top 14 ans H Cup for his last season. A knight of his sport.
5-Marc Marquez : The best season in Moto Gp a man has ever made.

1. Alberto Contador - Winning the Vuelta only weeks after breaking tibia, doping or not that is very impressive
2. Luis Suarez - The best player in the premier league, was good at the world cup, and is now playing for the biggest team in the world
3. DeMarco Murray - I hate Dallas so much, but this guy is a very good running back
4. Kevin Durant - Most Valueable Player in the NBA and one of the best of all time
5. Jose Altuve - At the age of 24 already has a batting title, he is the future for the Houston Astros

3.- Kevin Durant: I am fan of him since he started playing... and he is just the best
4.- Mireia Belmonte: She is better than Ledecky... Spain isn´t good at swimming... except Mireia!
5.- Cristiano Ronaldo: He is just the monster of football... nothing more to say

Brendan McCullum must be considered, you guys probably won't give him any though but he has been the best test batsman this year and after the crap he and Mike Hesson endured it really has been phenomenal.
And if commonwealth games and soooo close to a TDF win gets you anywhere, Jack Bauer.
