UCI president Brian Cookson has released a statement in an interview he did with the guardian saying that “Cycling needs a fresh beginning, a new system, and a new way of operating”. What does this mean, and what does Mr. Cookson plan on doing with cycling? More on this story will be released as soon as Cookson releases more information, but for now we will just have to wait and see…

Cookson Releases new Statement on his Plans Brian Cookson has released a full plan in an interview on what he plans to do with cycling. Here is a short overview on what he plans on doing.
The first thing his plan says is that he wants to revamp schedules. This means that teams in the highest division have their own schedule, second division has their own schedule and so on. The next step in his plan is transfers. “Teams are now going to have the ability to trade their riders as well as sign them from free agency.”
Cookson also wants to introduce a draft at the end of every single season, young riders from all round the world have a bigger chance of being accepted into the cycling world!
The final details of Cookson’s may take a while to be completely finished but it seems that he has a great understanding of what he wants to do.

Cookson has released a more information about his plans for cycling.
“Three leagues of eighteen will compete in the new UCI World Tour, as I said in an earlier interview, each league will have it’s own schedule with twelve races being raced for each league. Each league will have it’s own grand tour and the rest of the schedule is undecided so far, I will update the world later on my plans.”
“I am discussing with teams who will be in each division, I can confirm that Astana, Tinkoff - Saxo and Omega Pharma Quickstep have all confirmed that they will race in the top division.”
Cooksoon will most likely reveal more information has his plan develops, let’s hope it doesn’t delay the start of the season.

Looking at the thread title, I thought it was Ollfardh's EPIC thread for PCM14.
So, another story game?

Nope, a story, accidentally called it a new start to cycling, but I have changed the title now |

He's still a loooooong way off, this is like his third or fourth, meaning he's exactly 37 behind you.
