Jesleyh
Here's a thread to discuss the stats from the PCM 14 PCMdaily projects.

Everything written down here will be considered for the next PCMdaily DB.

Anyway, to continue on the Contador discussion:

Contador won both Tirreno - Adriatico and Pais Vasco and seems to get near to his pre-suspension form.
He and Froome were both ''shared'' favourites for this TdF, but they both crashed.

Navardauskas: Maybe lower his ACC a stat or two. Cause he isn't a real sprinter. Dunno if that will make a difference at all.

Kittel: Maybe lower his HILL stat to 63. He literally falls of at every bump on the road Grin

Navardauskas was 3rd on Champs Elysee (besides all other great results on the Tour this year), so you can't really say he's not a real sprinter. Wink

While you are right, he doesn't have the same ACC like the "real" sprinters.
At least thats what i think. Smile

He is fast enough to get 77, but to get a more real Navardauskas in the game i think lowering his ACC a bit so he doesn't jump out of a box, but comes with a steady strong sprint instead, would be better.

In my opinion Pinot doesn't deserve 80, i mean he took 8 min (79 maybe). Same for Peraud. About Hill stats i've seen contador and Nibali both 79, but the Italian in the classic managed to reach better result than the Spanish and Pozzovivo is 78 (which is good) but it's the same for Pinot and others. After Liege i think he should have 1 point more at least.

Agree for the mountains BUT the hilly races Contador raced were:
1) Basque Country where he beat the second best puncher in the hills.
2) TdF stage 8 where he's beaten, guess who .....Wink

Jesleyh
We've given Navardauskas ''just'' 75ACC, but we could give him 74 maybe. It's just pretty tough to get his stats right, I understand what you're saying.

Contador and Nibali are both fairly good on hills. Hills is more than just Ardennes anyway.

Pinot was a point of doubt, but has relatively bad backup stats.

Basque and stage 8 of Le Tour aren't really classics. When you'll play Liege Contador will be at the same level if not even stronger (due to the 82 in MO) than Nibali eventhough he manged to do 2nd at Liege and 3rd at Milano San Remo (not this year but i think he can do better than Contador in those races)

I know hill is more than just Ardennes, this was my opinion though

We don't know how Bertie will do cuz he hasn't ridden them and ther's no real reason for thinking he'll fail except ppersonal prejudices Wink That's why eaqual stats are fine for me. But of course if you quote for Nibbles you have the full right to change the stats for yourself Wink

Arberg27: You could say Andy Schleck have not taken his training seriously last 4 seasons.
Valverde has also won many small race, it does not make him better than Quintana.

Valverde have won some small races for sure but he never beated the best climbers in mountain stages this year which were the case with Contador who won mountain stages against riders like Froome and Quintana.

I would even give him 50 Pfft

Jesleyh
I'm not sure. 63HI might cause him to drop at the first TdF stage(or at least make it hard to win), for example. 65 seems drastic enough, because Kristoff already has 9 HI stats higher than him Wink

Yeah. You could be right about that. But could be worth checking In game Smile

Cause he is really bad on hills, but i don't know how it looks in the game with the current stats Pfft

I think a 2 stat gap between Tejay and Pinot is too much based on the Tour. I think it should be 1.

I agree on this Smile
It was one of Pinot's first great races since 2012, while TVG has been strong in the mountains for a long period.

Jesleyh
Quickly looking at the results, it seems that TvG never even managed to stay in the same group as Pinot, let alone beating him even once.
78MO is enough for Tejay. As said, Pinot was really a 50/50(Alak and I had multiple discussions about that Pfft), but got 80MO with low backup stats.

@Dusen Well, Pinot got 7th in the Vuelta and is really developing well atm. Tejay always profits from his TT and was never a ''star'' in the mountains itself, though it seems he's getting stronger.

I see what you are getting with this. And if Pinot has lower support stats, it might be just fine like that Smile

I've started a theard a while ago to fuel this kind of discussions.
here is a link to that thread and to the files that are created;
https://pcmdaily.c...ost_965364

There is an excel file in there with all the results of the 1.1 and 2.1 and above races (mind you it is 50Mb big!). I have calculated how many points a rider has gotten in what kind of terrain and put that in a big pivot table. If you doubleclick on a rider in the table you get an extra tabsheet with all his results and how they are scored... Do that for all the riders mentioned above and you don't just discuss feelings, but also actual results.
