Okay, so I'm ready to go again, this time with PCM14. I know it still has issues, but I'm willing to deal with it. I will be using PCM Spain's install, though I have made a few minor changes. I will be playing on hard difficulty. The only major edit I have made to the team is adjusting the sponsor goals to be more realistic (seriously they had top 3 Italian Championship as one of the goals... I have Oss and Quinziato... as the only two Italians on my team...)
Other notes, while they style will follow my normal writing, I intend to make this more BMC focused especially during race recaps. It will be part of my goal to report all of the events surrounding the team, from races to contract negotiations and scouting. The team will try and retain it's focus on being a US based team, with a Swiss sponsor, also favoring Belgium.

Pre-Season Training Camp : Mallorca, Spain
Very little can do more to bring a team together than some time in the beautiful Balearic Isles, and the team got to spend six days in early January to get back into shape. For some that will be more important than others, notably Cadel Evans who has a national championship to contest soon. With him will be a handful of riders going to the Tour Down Under that will see their seasons start off quick as well.
The team would get to the roads though quickly, starting with just a slow tempo, letting the teammates socialize a bit, get comfortable and get to know the staff. I think most enjoyed their time under the Mediterranean Sun, though the temperature was still a bit chilly.
Later in the camp the team would be put under a bit more strenuous tempo as the riders are able to string out the group a bit and really put some work into their legs, the cool weather seemed to be less of an issue as muscles got warmed up.
But before leaving they would get in one more casual ride to enjoy together, Thor Hushovd and Michael Schär showing off their national championship jerseys in the group. The team will split up for now, going their own ways, Evans will head down to Australia quickly. Joining him later for the Santos Tour Down Under will be Cummings, Dillier, Hermans, Lodewyck, Phinney and Wyss.

Australian Championship | January 13th, 2014 | Buninyong – Buninyong: 160.2 kms - Hilly |
A hilly circuit repeated 11 times forms our Australian Championships, a few teams will be incredibly well represented, led by Australia's own World Tour team Orica-GreenEDGE.
Drapac's Jai Crawford would be the only man able to strike out form the Orica led peloton, and would lead the race from the first circuit on.
It wouldn't be until the last circuit that the World Tour Orica-GreenEDGE team would bring back the leader, and finally after 10 previous laps the fireworks could start.
Immediately a select group would form, led by two Orica riders, the Simons, Clarke and Gerrans. With them would be our own Cadel Evans, and Sky's Richie Porte.
With both of the other riders watching Gerrans, it would be Clarke that makes the first move, and the reaction is slow before Cadel finally takes up chase.
The delay would be enough for Simon Clarke to hold on and take the Australian Champion's jersey, ahead of Cadel Evans and teammate Simon Gerrans. Rohan Dennis puts in a great late effort for Garmin and Richie Porte rounds out the top five.

So close for Cadel.
But isn't the first race of the season the Australian ITT?

I think it is, however this pack doesn't have all the races, so that didn't happen. Will have to see what other races get missed.

Santos Tour Down Under | January 20th – 26th, 2014 |
As always the first World Tour race of the year, the Santos Tour Down under though has seen some changes though going from a sprinters tour to becoming more of a puncher tour over the last few years. This year looks to have a very punchy course with many of the flat stages still favoring riders with the power to get uphill.
BMC Startlist
| | | Leader: | | Cadel Evans | Free: | | Taylor Phinney | Teammate: | | Stephen Cummings | Teammate: | | Silvan Dillier | Teammate: | | Ben Hermans | Teammate: | | Klas Lodewyck | Teammate: | | Danilo Wyss |
Team Goals
With such a hilly course this year we are here to win, not only the GC but also to get some stages, whether with Evans as our favorite, or Cummings and Hermans as punchers, or even our neo-pro Dillier who packs a decent bit of punch as well. Anything else we can get is just a bonus that we will happily take.

Santos Tour Down Under | January 20th, 2014 : Stage 1 | Nuriootpa – Angaston: 136.7 kms - Hilly |
Stage one of this race is listed as flat, and might rightly finish with a sprint, but a category one climb near the finish, and an uphill drag to the line will likely favor the punchers on an attack or perhaps a smaller group sprint.
Our Ben Hermans wastes no time in lighting up the race as he sets off from the banner. Those wanting in the break would need to follow his move.
There would be two others to join him, Jonas Vangenechten of team Lotto Belisol and Jonas Ahlstrand riding for Team Giant-Shimano. The trio would stay out for most of the stage.
At the base of Mengler Hill it is Cadel Evans who makes the attack, the trio are still ahead, though just barely, he could be trying to bridge up to teammate Ben Hermans! None seem to be able to follow the veteran rider on the steep parts of the slope.
He has caught his teammate, and now Hermans will give everything he has to help his leader take the stage. Behind it is Orica's Simon Clarke the new National Champion who takes to the wheel. Clarke finished just ahead of Evans a week ago to claim the jersey.
It wouldn't take long before Clarke decided to test the BMC riders, as he attacks, and quickly drops Hermans who had already given everything he had to help out Cadel.
After the push though, it seems Evans is winding up a counter attack to go for the stage win. The peloton is just out of the picture, but around the corner and chasing hard not wanting to be left out.
Evans would time it just right, beating Clarke to the line, reversing the fortunes of the championship race and holding off the fast closing peloton. Lampre would take both 3rd and 4th with Filippo Pozzato and Davide Cimolai.

Santos Tour Down Under | January 21st, 2014 : Stage 2 | Prospect – Stirling: 150.1 kms - Flat |
Stage two is one of the flatter stages of the race, but still finishes on a slight uphill. There is a chance a puncher might be able to make something happen, but likely the sprinters will get a good shot for the win today.
A pair of riders would form the break of the day, led by Marco Haller of Team Katusha, and followed by AG2R's Gediminas Bagdonas. They would equal each other in mountain points on the day at 16, and tie Ben Hermans from yesterday, though Hermans will retain the jersey.
Much of the day for BMC would be spent at the front, just calmly keeping control. Danilo Wyss and Silvan Dillier would do the most work, while Hermans stayed right with Cadel Evans protecting the team's leader.
The sprinter's teams of Lampre and FDJ would turn up the heat though and catch the breakaway with Haller finally conceding with around five kilometers to go.
Shortly after the sprint trains would be apparent at Lampre and Astana look to have the best lines, while FDJ struggles on the left side of the road. BMC forms their own train but hangs back, just looking to protect Evans from danger.
The Lampre train does their job, and for the second straight day Pozzato wins the sprint from the group, though it was only for third yesterday. Anthony Roux takes second for FDJ, while Astana's Iglinskiy grabs the last spot on the podium. The win for Pozzato gives him enough bonus seconds to take the overall lead.
