Heavily anticipated stage! People couldnt wait for the topic to arrive so there it is
Last time when the stage finished in Mulhouse the winner was the chicken Michael Rasmussen collecting points for KOM jersey in 2005.
Who will win this year? Breakaway win again hugely likely.

The stage suits Nibbles or another great downhiller, however the 20km of flat is going to hurt Nibbles' chances |

Expecting a big breakaway tomorrow. I'd say Riblon, Dani Navaro or Tom Dumoulin

I hope Rolland has big plans for tomorrow, he has lost quite some time and I think he has realized i cant follow the best!
Definetely a more interesting stage through the whole stage than today, i love these kinda stages. Just too bad we havent god coverage from the start. |

I like Tom Dumoulin prediction for this stage. Also the regular breakaway specialists like Bakelants, Voeckler, Trofimov. GVA was in the Eurosport studio saying he fancies this stage |

I think it was pretty clear from the start that he won't be able to follow the best. It's pretty much impossible to ride a good GC in Il Giro and then do the same in Le Tour

Sure, but he has nevertheless still tried somewhat get a proper standing in the GC and hasnt lost time just for the fun of it so far. Tomorrow's stage is a good place to gain some time back, get some points for the KOM and potentially win a stage. |

Hmm looks like a day for the breakaway. The profile also looks like the perfect day for GC riders to attack on the final climb, making small gaps only for a small group of the favourites to all group together on the long descent and flat and finish in the same small selection.
We might see teams like Astana or Movistar put guys into the break tomorrow. That way if their leader does get clear, he likely wouldn't have to go solo for 30km after the summit.

Talansky crashing is my prediction. I'd say the odds are pretty good.

Astana send Westra in the breakaway. Nibali attacks in the final descend to catch up with Westra. Westra goes beast-mode on the last flat part and Nibali wins more time on his rivals. Now, here's a scenario. |

Possible.
But i think Nibali is very focused on defending his jersey lead to Contador and not even bothering with offensive moves.
I think he is afraid to use to much power that he might need later in the Tour.
But the idea you present is indeed very possible, and could very well have happend if it wasn't because he had a solid lead atm.
Just my 2 cents. |

Watch out for those wetdreams.....
But i see Nibali wheelsuck on Contador who will use his team to set pace again during the climb just weed some of the weaker GC´s out but the stretch before goal is to flat for any serious main GC action.
I wish though that Astana was riding like this

You are hilariously biased against Nibali. He is just a wheelsucker. Look at the way he wheelsucked on stage 2 and 5 too. |
