Another flat looking day. Will someone other than Kittel take the win? If executed right, maybe Cannondale could drop Kittel on those climbs near the end of the stage?

Sagan will only be cruising in Kittel's wheel, so I think you're in trouble Wink

with 30kms between the last meaningful climb and the finish?
nah, straight sprint here, particularly after Giant had the day off yesterday

Hard to see anything but a sprint at the end of this and Kittel likely on top, barring any dramatics such as last minute inclusion of cobbles ... Wink
It was eleven more than necessary.

Kittel, next stage please. Pfft

Sagan should continue his top4 run, pretty awesome feat so far in five stages, maybe another Rojas for him today? Grin
I'll be back

Yeah, Sagan will continue his top4 run, and I think Kristoff or Demare will win this stage Smile

Fairly lumpy- I reckon Kristoff will have this one circled in the book.

Any indications on which riders where injured during yesterday? Any sprinters not feeling up for it today? Any possible abandons?

Not gonna sprint himself, but Degenkolb bruised his gluteus maximus, which is obviously not what you want as a cyclist.

Apparently strong crosswinds on the parcours today. Fun continues

Some echelon fun coming? Good Cool

Some teams should love the opportunity to win some time back atleast. Contador would probably like to claw back some time, although it's highly unlikely that Nibali will be caught out. So echelons could be used to distance other sprinters (Demare seems prone to poor positioning), or for GC riders with a poor position (Rolland eg.) to gain a minute or two on rivals for the podium.

Degenkolbe should be injury badly but refuses to give up, what a guy.

It puts Froomes exit into perspective.

But i have to admit looking at the injured and how the stage yesterday ended i am not a big fan of cobble stages in the tour, its sad to see Froome and many others lose their race not because they are beaten but by injuries.

Also Astana well what can you say other than it smells and it smells bad, we have a former rider Kreuziger with suspect data, we have Vinokourov as team manager not to mention Fuglsang, he is good but that he is that good and for them to distance a cobble specialist like Cancellara with over a min..... well it smells. And not to forget how many times Astana have had riders who have been doped.
