This is the weirdest design decision. In fact, this is exactly what is keeping me away from buying two copies of the game, in order to give my son a multiplayer lesson.

I guess we'll have to wait another year... at least.

Its not like they want to, it costs money for the licenses of the teams and atm they cant afford it, you cant use a custom database online either because if someone doesnt have that exact database, it would crash anyway.


Dont the games have multiple installations of the game anyway with each code or has it changed?

This is wrong.

You CAN play a Grand Tour vs a IRL friend or whatever, with the real teams and not armada.

you can select the database you want to play with. if you download a modified database with the real names. you play with the real names of teams and riders.

One of you downloads a database from this site.

Ingame :

click "multiplayer"
click "stage race"
set your prefered settings such as a password, number of players, name etc.
click "play with local DB"

Then let your friend join, and your will be able to select teams.
