So with the release of PCM14 on the day of my last exam, I thought it was a great time to have a crack at a story myself with my favourite rider.

Edvald Boasson Hagen | Last Chance
For those who don't know me, I'm Edvald Boasson Hagen, formally of Team Maxbo Bianchi and Team High Road but now of Team Sky. They call me Eddy Boss or EBH for short, what ever I don't mind they all sound pretty trendy. I'm seen as one of the best all-rounders in the pro peloton with my ability to time-trial, win bunch sprints and climb.
Before I joined Team Sky, I signed my first pro contract with Team High Road (HTC) and in the two years there I managed a Tour of Britain win, an Eneco Tour win, Gent-Wevelgem and a stage of the Giro d'Italia. I was seen as the next big thing.
After joining Team Sky in 2010 I had massive expectations on my shoulders. Since I have delivered a Vattenfall Cyclassics, GP Ouest-France, another Eneco Tour but most notably and the biggest highlight of my career two stages wins of the 2011 Tour de France.
However since then it hasn't been the same story, I have won the Glava Tour of Norway twice and both road race and time trial national championships but that it nothing compared to what I can do, what I have achieved before. People say I have stagnated, some say I have under-preformed, David Brailsford says I'm not delivering my pay grade. I've worked tiredlessly for Chris Froome and Bradley Wiggins but this doesn't seem to be enough, it has been made clear by the top of Sky.
This is my last chance. I perform this year or I'm out...

Introduction Two - The Meeting
December 2013
I had a disappointing 2012 by the high standards set for myself by me and Team Sky. I was under pressure and had a disastrous 2013. Dave explained to me that 2 road stage victories just isn't good enough, not that I needed to be told. I had injuries and illnesses but that doesn't justify anything. He organised a meeting at my home of Lillehammer to discuss 2014.
I the message was fairly simple, I might do better to earn my money or my contract will be not be renewed. He also mentioned I'm the 3rd highest earner at the team and ensured that no other team would pay the same wages i'm getting.
For the 2014 Brailsford is putting his faith in me still. He is willing to keep me as a protected rider and in some cases I will be leader. My provisional schedule are the classics and then a return to the Giro followed by a mid season break and the autumn classic and world championships. I will not be riding the Tour de France, the team are in all for Chris Froome, not questions asked.
I have my chance once again so there cannot be any excuses.

@all cheers guys
Team Sky meet in Mallorca for our pre-season training camp as normal, and it was also as painful as normal but it'll all be worth it. Most importantly it was chance to see what the guys I getting up too. Chris firmly has his sights on the Tour while Porte may be leading the Giro which could hamper my chances at the race but I'm sure I'll have a free role if not defending the jersey. G and Stannard are both aimming for the classics like me, we are all a similar level so it will be interesting to see what happens but I'm determined to stamp down my authority if my legs can do the talking.
Most importantly it was a chance to finalise my assuming I stay fit and healthy. I will be riding all the cobble races and Milano-San Remo. I have decided to skip Liege-Bastogne-Liege and La Fleche as it will be too demanding on my fitness that I'll save for end of the season.
Myself and Brailsford have decided upon a few objects for the season.
A stage win in the Giro
Podium in one day classic
Top 5 GC Eneco Tour
5 victories in stage races
