Hi guys, my name is Marko Šantić, we're currently in 2009 and this is my cycling blog. Here are some basic info about me:
Country:
Serbia
Age:
14
Height
176cm
Weight
60kg
As you can see, i am only 14 and i know that alot of guys are going to stop reading this here, since i am too young for serious and professional cyclist, but i am okay with that.
My cycling story starts when i was 6 years old, since i got my first bike then. It was "Delta" or something like that. Yeah, laugh now, it was piece of rusty iron. It should have been mountain bike, but it was actually made for city-ride. I rode my first kilometers on it and i'm proud of that.
Few years passed and i changed few bikes, but i never planned to get seriously into cycling. I used my bike only for kind of transport, never for training or something similar. One day, everything changed...
After i came back from school i decided to rest with my favourite TV program in that time, Eurosport. It was mid-July time, so it was Le Tour on schedule. It was my first time to watch cycling on TV.
I really fell in love with it. Watched whole Tour and even found way to watch some other races in that time. As my birthday's in February (obviously next year) i knew what i am going to ask for it - road bike. Few days of persuasion and "negotations" with my dad were successful , since i got my new bike, Bianchi Eros from 2005.
My passion, my pleasure, my pain... briefly, my life starts there!

Hi guys, welcome to my 2nd post at this blog. I certainly didn't expect this amount of comments and thank you for that. As title says, i am going to talk you about my riding style and my goal for my cycling future.
Since i am young and not so experienced, i can't precisely say what type of rider i am, but what i can say is that i totally enjoy any kind of steep terrain. Since i grew up in hilly region, i had to face some tough hills and climbs everyday. My physical constitution makes me climber more then flat rider, as well. I still have alot of time to see and decide what type of rider i am going to be.
You just can't talk about your riding style without mentioning what are your goals for your future (possible) career . As i already said, my training is focused on climbing currently and i hopes i am going to continue that way.
To be honest, i would love to become some kind of all-arounder, but with punching and climbing as my specialisation. I know it's going to be hard as hell, but i am ready for it!
And, for the end ,i would like to finish this 2nd post by some kind of motivational speech. I know i'll need that alot in future:
"If i put my effort and concentration into playing to my potential to be the best that you can be, I don’t care what the results says at the end of race, in my book i am the winner!"
baseballlover312, 06-03-14 : "Nuke Moscow...Don't worry Russia, we've got plenty of love to go around your cities"
Sarah Palin, 08-03-14 (CPAC, on Russian aggression) : "The only thing that stops a bad guy with a nuke is a good guy with a nuke"
Big thanks to jdog for making this AMAZING userbar!
Hi guys! Last post was more than a week ago, so i decided do refresh this a bit. I am going to talk about my current cycling league.
It's Serbian U17 Cycling League which , sadly, has only 6 teams parcipating in. It's national league and Serbia is definitely not cycling country, so it's understandable.
Each team can have only 8 riders, and that's only rule in this league. For each team's basic presentation, look below.

Newest team in our cycling league, formed at the start of this year. They will be nice addition, with some great sprinters. O. Kuzmić is their best sprinter and team leader.

One of best teams in our league. They're focused on hills & climbs, but have some great sprinters aswell. N. Čupić is their absolute leader.

My former team, for which I rode 2 years, from '07 to '09. They're pretty strong on every field, but steep hills are their specialisation. E. ÄŒeli is their first pick.

One more sprinting team in a row. M. Ivanović and I. Vidić are both their leaders, since they have equal sprinting abilities.

Probably strongest and definitely a team with longest history in this league. Big budget and some great riders makes them favourites for almost every race. J. Jovanović is their current leader.

Eternal rivals with Partizan in each sports. Have some great Time Trialist and Cobblestone riders. A. Mitrović is their leader.
You probably noticed that i still didn't reveal my new team. I won't do that now. Stay tuned to discover that in some of following reports!
