Hey guys, it's me again. This time , i want to try 1-rider story. After few teams stories (Adria,Radenska) i want to try something new. This time, i'll try 1-rider story. Main character of this one will be Michał Kwiatkowski, Poland's biggest sporting hope.

As other says, in my career so far i showed some nice performances. I am coming from Torun , little town in middle of Poland. I growed up in same city as Michal Golas, my teammate and i know him literally from youth Polish teams, although he is older. Thanks to my victory in the opening TT at the Driedaagse van West Vlaanderen, but specially to significant placements in important WorldTour races like the Tour de Pologne and the Eneco Tour i showed what i can do.
My goal for 2013 is to get better all-around skills and to debut in some of 3 main races, most probably Tour de France.
As i said previously i growed up in Torun, middle of Poland and i am connected with cycling from an early age. First "pro" steps were winning European Junior Championship Road Race in 2007 and same competition but Time Trial next year. My first team was MG Kvis – Norda Pacific team , local team from Torun. That was probably my best year, since i won several local races , and Caja Rural scouts noticed me. That was my time to shine.
Spent 1 year in both , Caja Rural and Team RadioShack (year later) but i could not find my place there. In 2012 i joined OPQS team. It felt great, everyone was happy about me, i was happy aswell. I won openning TT in Driedaagse van West Vlaanderen and finished on 2nd place in my home-race Tour de Pologne. Also i managed to get 8th position in Eneco Tour. I am ready for new challenges!
I was very precise when i was setting my career's targets. I know my body and i know what i can expect from myself. Probably, biggest target is to bring my country , Poland , what they deserve. To bring them one really great rider, that they will remember for long time.
That's probably most important. My second target is to become great all-around that will satisfy myself on first place. I am not so obsessed with wins, they're not so important. If i train enough , i'll get good results. Whenever i fail, that means i didn't trained enough and that i should train more, harder. That's what cycling is about.

As i already said , i will be member of Omega Pharma - QuickStep this year. Definitely one of best teams in peloton. Just great feeling to be part of this team. Here you can find full squad of our team, for 2013 season.
Team is focused on classics and sprints. That's why i have chance here. Don't want to be arrogant here, but i think that i am the best stage-racer in team at the moment , and that's big pressure, believe me.
Anyway, one huge family , great riders and what's most important , great guys.
Well, this team is overally great , but of course there are some leaders. I selected 3. And you can guess who they're.
Mark Cavendish (aged 27)

Throught his career , he got some of best achievements in cycling world like World Champion title, Tour de France green jersey once etc. One word describes him best : a sprinting beast!
Tony Martin (aged 27)
[img-l]https://www.dodaj.rs/f/2T/6H/10n5nrzc/igbfzqo.jpg[/img-l][img-l]https://www.dodaj.rs/f/N/WK/36xL1oUn/blan2.png[/img-l]Tony. What to say about this guy? Panzerwagen. Best TT rider in the world, definitely. Current ITT World Champion, winner of hundreds of Prologues and TTs. Also, has some nice climbing and overall abilities/skills.
Tom Boonen (aged 32)
[img-l]https://www.dodaj.rs/f/2E/GC/3PPIcl8g/jls7zed.jpg[/img-l][img-l]https://www.dodaj.rs/f/N/WK/36xL1oUn/blan2.png[/img-l] Multiple winner of every cobblestone classic except Omloop. Guy that won absolutely everything in thar part of cycling. EX- World champion aswell. Also has some great sprinting abilities.

Well, Lewandowski has already established himself, so I wouldn't call him a rising hope anymore, plus football is a teamsport. And doesn't he regularly underperform in the national jersey?
Kwiatkowski is a great rider. Looking forward to this.

Hmm, not sure if stage racing is the best choice for him, but we'll see!
Also, the last time i checked Csv only won the green jersey once.

Great story, always love everything about OPQS
But as Dippofix said, Cav won the green jersey only one time. And there is one cobbled race that boonen didn't won, yet (Omloop Het Nieuwsblad iirc). But that are just details

Hmm , sorry guys , corrected mistakes (Cav's and Tom's) , i just did that in rush, without checking infos.
And yes, i'll play with guys from 2013 season, as first post says , with PCM.daily Expansion Pack (2012 NCs). Will use 0.3 evolution, aswell. |
