C2 teams get to tackle this highly regarded Italian hill climbers classic which finishes atop a hill at the end.
It is a similar crowd to what we have seen before in the C2 arena with the experienced Iberia duo of Sammy Sanchez and Joaquin Rodriguez going up against Gazelle's Dutch climber Peter Weening.
Italian veteren Michele Scarponi may well fancy this one though and he leads a strong Italian Kappa team looking to deny promotion hopefuls Iberia and Gazelle.
We also have the usual stock of young hopefuls Barrio, Kump, Cioban as well as grizzled veterans such as Gingsjo, Kirchen and Calzati .
Let the battle commence over the three Varasine Valleys.

Looking like an interesting race. And eventually with yet another Gazelle win like in nearly every C2 race this year.
Not sure about the small startlist though. Could influence the race a lot.
Scarponi as home favourite should do well here as well.

Hoping that the MO/Hil ratio helps Vrecer to get a top 10/5. |

How predictable. Congrats to DubbelDekker, Gazelle are just ridiculously good.
Decent performance from the team earning 10pprd. Happy with 6th, although higher would have been better. Chaoufi hasn't put in an amazing performance anywhere this year. |

I hoped someone from my team can push up to top10 and its looked like in some pictures, but in the final doesnt happened. No problem, bring ot the cobbles, better chance for a little satisfaction |

Best result of the season for Barrio! The team is really kicking in high gear now, relegation certainly lit a fire under their butts to start performing. I like it.

That was pretty poor from Kump, but I guess that the field was pretty strong for C2 level didn't help at all. Gazelle keeps showing their great strength in the hills, congrats DubbelDekker.

Good effort from our team, but it is hard for Scarponi when the two big teams are so deep in quality. We can't chase everything, and then someone gets away. Scarponi still show himself as one of the absolute biggest threat to the Gazelle/Iberia dominance of the C2-hilly races. |
