It is Clasica San Sebastian - the latest HC one day race of the season.
Very basic preview for this one, ran out of time to do anything substantial!
It's a race which started off as a PT but later moved to PCT. As the past winner show, Valverde likes to win it every 2 years - so won't be too worried about being unable to ride this year. It has been a good race for Spaniards, but can that continue with a new champion due to be crowned?

Well that was fairly disappointing as far as racing goes.
Congrats to Roche.

Great win from Roche, ING looks better and better for promotion, shame for Cisco that Efimkin used all his energy to hold back the peloton. Gautier again disappointing. But what a surprise result from Zsolt Der, that was a good buy kumazan (he was on my shortlist too).

That's not what I hoped for. Efimkin's excellent streak of results was always going to end at some point, but I was hoping he wouldn't break in a HC race. :/ Taborre in 10th is a small consolation at least.
Congrats to ING!

Had actually hoped to win when seeing a bunch sprint. Then again the 3rd is pretty awesome in this field and is in about what I had expected before (top5).
So a very nice race for me.
Congrats to Roche, who is really strong this year. |

Good to get a top 10 here, all things considered. I need all the points I can get, too.

Good report! As far as the racing goes, at least the final 26 kilometers contained a lot of action. I thought Ventoso was going to grab the win, but Roche proved lethal inside the final kilometer.
Congratulations, rycadinho! Nou doubts that was a massive win thinking of promotion. |

Never feel it is the easiest of races for the AI, the Clasica San Sebastian.
Actually looked like we had something with 10 hilly guys clear late on, but they were caught by a stretched pack and hilly sprinters took over. Roche still clobbered em mind!
ING and Rothaus are really marching on up at the mo.

Damn. Had really hoped the breakaway would make it as I'd at least be sure of a top 10. 19th is just not good enough. |

The last 40km or so did provide some attacking racing, but it's always a pity to see climbs like Jaizkibel go to waste. In the end I was of the impression that the last group could have stayed clear of the pack, but it wasn't meant to be.
This race has witnessed the pinnacle of Mendes and Ventoso's racing tactics. Before Manx Intl. Ventoso was on the verge of becoming transfer listed, but now after being absolutely vital on conquering our 3rd season goal out 3, I'm realising he should never have been used in flat rated races.
Congratulations to ING. Roche was truly impressive in the way he accelerated past such a fast duo as Bellis and Ventoso.

A bit better from Flügel, and glad to see Kessler getting a nice result aswell. I really hope this trend contiues. Roche with his combination of Hill and Mountain will always be a favorite, so it's no suprise he got a great season.
PS: Sorry for being inactive lately, been a lot to do

Just been in Italy for a week, and then to return and see Roche perform so well - amazing stuff! He really likes the spanish roads Thanks for all the kind words, promotion is defiantly possible if we keep this up!
Great report too SN
