I'm kind of a newbie when it comes to this game but after 2 x 3months in career I'm slowly getting there.
I was wondering what equipment is best suited for Ronde van Vlaanderen, seeing there's a alot of short but steep cobblestone climbs throughout the race. Is it best to bring a mountain frame and helmet, or stick to flat equipment? Or Flat frame and mountain helmet?
Thanks for your help

The equipment has no influence on the gameplay at all. The ratings are just for show. So it doesn't matter what equipment you choose, just choose what you like most.
I think your still using the offical database that comes with the game? If so, I strongly advise you to download a community database

Lol, really? : p So I just blew my cash when i bought all that junk in the begining:p
I downloaded the real-name database, but what's the other differences?
Edit: Oh, I found it. Certainly gonna download that thing. Will have to start over again but seems worth it:p Do I have to download 8.5GB for every update?

A top level DB (like the one PCM.daily will publish soon) will take the game to a next level. More teams, more riders, more races, more accurate stats and many more things that improve the game (like real equipment)
Bith Cyanide is still patching, the big databases haven't come out yet. Though PCM france has published the FCD yesterday
