As long as the Giro variant that has the Scanuppia get's converted, I'm a happy man. Grin

I've changed my mind, and will convert the NC of Norway 2013, as well as the Gerolstein Rundfahrt. The Giro will take more time, as I have deleted some of the files, but I will try to convert that one as well.

Took a picture from the Stage Editor because I can't play with graphics in 2013 either...

"Tønsberg 4-dagers" is one of the biggest national races in Norway, and as you should understand by the name is a race over 4 days on the roads around Tønsberg. As it was held this week I decided to remake the race in PCM 2013, not only this years edition, but every edition back to 2010, as there are many similarities...

2013:
Spoiler

1. etappe: Slottsfjellet opp MITT:
i912.photobucket.com/albums/ac324/janniboy/8e98b99d-45ca-45a0-9d50-6949f5bbf4bc_zpscc90b821.jpg

A VERY short mountain time trial in the city centre of Tønsberg is the usual start of the race. This TT is for the audience, and will not create gaps at all. Sondre Holst Enger won the stage this year at 1 minute, 10 seconds. It is also a fun fact that Holst Enger has won this stage 4 times in a row, twice as a junior and once in the age specific class. (Another start in 2012)

2. etappe: Stokke - Rørkollen
i912.photobucket.com/albums/ac324/janniboy/2b7ca012-5766-4955-9d43-26e7399b6bdc_zpsbe46c054.jpg

Although this stage is flat in the game and probably will end up in a mass sprint, this stage actually creates huge gaps IRL. Two times up Hvarnesbakken, which is one of the most known climbs in Norway, is much harder than it actually looks on the profile. Many strong riders were dropped, and IRL a group of 15 fought for the victory.

3. etappe: Rørkollen - Rørkollen
i912.photobucket.com/albums/ac324/janniboy/9b165f91-9a57-41fd-95bf-f08d4a23a7fa_zps8832dbe4.jpg

Looks like yesterdays stage, but with some differences. Gregershølet is shorter and easier than Hvarnes, but the peloton will be stretched out towards the climb because of the descent before. Also the wind can cause a real damage on the stage.

4. etappe: Stokke - Rørkollen ITT
i912.photobucket.com/albums/ac324/janniboy/495f7ac0-8429-4cd0-84fe-6aa904e821ab_zpsccb84c65.jpg

The race will be settled in this finishing ITT on 7,2 kilometres.

2012:

Spoiler

About the same route and the same base as the 2013 race.

1. etappe: Sandefjord GP ITT
i912.photobucket.com/albums/ac324/janniboy/96cf29e2-858b-4923-9484-57e66285ba7a_zpsa0913675.jpg

Because of the Criterium race in Sandefjord which attracted a lot of great pro riders, the organizers decided to hold the prologue in the same course. (Original the route was about 400 metres long, but that is not possible in the stage editor.

2. etappe: Stokke - Rørkollen (Same as 2013)
i912.photobucket.com/albums/ac324/janniboy/2b7ca012-5766-4955-9d43-26e7399b6bdc_zpsbe46c054.jpg

3. etappe: Rørkollen - Rørkollen

4. etappe: Stokke - Rørkollen ITT (same as 2013)

2011:

Spoiler

The base town in 2011 were Andebu, on the country west of the coast city Tønsberg. In the last 100 metres of the stage there were both lots of speed bumps and parked cars.

1. etappe: Slottsfjellet Opp ITT (Same as 2013)
i912.photobucket.com/albums/ac324/janniboy/8e98b99d-45ca-45a0-9d50-6949f5bbf4bc_zpscc90b821.jpg

3. etappe: Andebu - Andebu (over Skrim and Hvarnesbakken)

4. etappe: Andebu - Andebu ITT

Spoiler

3. etappe: Stokke - Ramsum

4. etappe: Borgeskogen - Ramsum ITT
i912.photobucket.com/albums/ac324/janniboy/2c6f3e1b-069c-4e78-8cf6-97443e085d5d_zps5ccac577.jpg

Download for every edition: https://www.mediaf...0-2013.zip

Both Slottsfjellet, Hvarnesbakken and Gregershølet has sections up to 20 % max, but I decided to focus on making the climbs realistic on the profile, length and average gradient.

HI Nils Erik great to see u making Stages for PCM 13. Im a big fan of ur Stages and it would be great if u could convert some of ur 2012 Stages:

U-23 Thüringen Rundfahrt 2012
Deutschland Tour 2007
Middle-East Tour
Nestle-Tour

nils erik
The Thüringen Rundfahrt U23 is converted (and fixed) and is to be found here: https://www.mediaf...2_Nils.zip

Have started to convert the MET as well, but it will have to wait while I work to make the Giro variant smaller (takes really long time). Then I'll upload the rest as well.

Those are great news I cant wait to ad them to my personal DB Banana

I have to say; when I first started this project it was a test; I wanted to find out if it was possible to make a GT variant inside one small DEM-file. The answer is yes, it is possible. But still it is the last time I try this. The amount of time I used working on the file is ok, but the amount of time I used on deleting all the unimportant stuff from each and one of the stages was more than I used on the making, and far too much for me (Between 2 and 3 hours per stage only on deleting) and therefore I have actually hated this variant in the last weeks, where I had to delete even more to get the full pack to a decent size.

As you maybe can see I wasn't sure to convert this to PCM13, but since it wasn't really uploaded from 2012 I did it. The size of the files are under 1/2 of what they were on PCM12, but I will still warn you not to play with full graphic.

PS: As I said in the PCM12 thread, the reason for the high max percentages on many of the stages, is the massive amount of roads, and therefore many crossroads. The climbs are made to look real, and not to be completely smooth. No 2013 stage editor stuff are used, because I didn't want to use more time on this.

Another nice Giro variant, Good work Smile

I don't know if anyone has already created it, but here are the Grand Depart of Tour de France 2014:

i912.photobucket.com/albums/ac324/janniboy/f7d73f8e-91ae-4271-8a00-e3769bec5d5a_zpsc496148b.jpg

Will try to make a possible 2014 variant now, which covers some of the rumours.

Download will come when the variant is finished. I am not sure if I care about making graphical details, the motivation is not really high when I cannot play these stages myself. I will though publish the zcts files, if someone else wants to put in some graphics.

And stage 2 in the 2014 Tour; pretty hard one:

TDF 2014 stage 4: (Start and finish city is official, also official to contain cobbles, the rest I have made myself)

From next stage the guessing will start but I will try to follow the rumors as much as I can.
