First of all, i want to say I love the PCM Series and i am playing the games for years. But, i am quite disappointed about the progress the game has made the last few years. I feel like buying the same game now every year. It seems the developers at Cyanide don't dare to add some major changes. Why? |

Perhaps you should post at their forum, chances are they never check these forums. |

IMHO it all comes down to numbers. PCM does not sell anywhere near the amount that mainstream games do. Therefore they cannot employ many developers to make improvements. |

Not sure about that. It's the 33rd best selling game on steam during the last week and its a while since release, so they have been higher on the list just after release. Think they sell pretty well, if not they wouldn't release a game every year. |

Maybe there are not as many employees as they would like, but they made big improvements in the past so why they keep it much of the same now?

I think because they don't have the money/resources (and partially because of that, not enough people) to implement major changes.
I think they are doing a great job with the resources they have right now.
For example, look at FIFA's progress over the last few years, they only improve animations, gameplay & management, but no major changes. And then we're talking about a BIG developer..

Well if you compare the progress from PCM 2007 to PCM 2013 with Fifa 07 to Fifa 13, the progress on Fifa is way better. Every Year they manage to improve the gameplay to make it more realistic, along with other changes that makes it a better game every year.
However PCM doesnt seem to change anything special. Its like they dont have a plan to work towards. Again comparing to Fifa, Their focus is on the gameplay and not the managing part, if you look at games like Football manager thats the total opposite, while it looks like PCM tries to cover both parts, they should maybe start to focus on just the one of it and develop that part.
The console version, Tour De France, is more like Fifa where there is no managing part but it is all about the gameplay, Why not start developing PCM towards its name "Pro Cycling MANAGER" which moves the focus to the managing part and your skills at being a "MANAGER" for your team instead of being the one controlling your riders.
A lot of you might not like this idea but as i think if they want 2 different games i would suggest that they made them focus on 2 different things and work towards that.

I actually really enjoy the concept of PCM. I'd go as far as saying that managing coupled with the 3D race is one of the most fun experiences I have had in games. Lacking any of these parts the game wouldn't be as rewarding imo.
Also I feel the game has improved quite a bit since 2008, especially in the technology part (runs much smoother in 3D). Though I agree that the managing part needs to be overhauled together with the interface. |

I do agree that it has developed since 2008 but yet they havent made the managing part of it significant better the couple of last years. I feel like i buy the same game over and over again.
Also the online feature is the worst i've ever seen from a pc game. The way it is running makes me laugh sometimes. I mean they made it playable through steam which is a great idea but they just dont take advantage of it. They dont use same concept as other games like Football Manager where it is very easy to ride along with your friends without having to open fancy ports etc.
The ranked system and other parts of armada concept is lacking a bit, i mean you can barely ride more than a race each day with 1 rider in order to keep his stats optimized, maybe they should look into other games to see what is succesful, and what is good, instead of releasing something which is quite buggy the first month its out.
The last thing is, for god sake fix the game crashes. Every now and then people are having white screens and messages of "PCM stopped Working" and you are not even able to tab out of pcm while in loading screen without crashing the game.

The game isn't a steam exclusive, why would they use Steam features?
I agree that the rider's should have a little more stamina, but to say that they shouldn't release it is jibberish. It's an annual sports game, not a triple a console game with 5 years of developement. Yes it's buggy, and they should do a better job, but you are overestimating the time and budget Cyanide is working with.

Main problem is the money Focus is giving them. They really have a small budget and do already a lot of unpaid extra hours.
