I wake up one morning after a miserable night, walk outside and pick up the paper, come back inside and begin eating my cereal. As I am flipping through the pages, I come upon the sports page.
I could not believe it, starting from the bottom, working my way to the top! I was only 21 years old, I could try to take this team to the next level, OUTSIDE of the United States. I just had to call them, NOW...
Just got off the phone, I have an interview set up with the team, to get to know all of them, I think there are 18 of them, some promising, some no hopers.
My interview is scheduled for 6:00 PM! I hope to have an update of the interview shortly after!

So I wrote down the address to my interview, hopped in my car, and drove off to Roosevelt's house, Roosevelt is the best rider on the team.
Thats Roosevelt Grant, the leader of the team. I was also greeted by the rest of the team, and I will give a little info about each a little later on.
Anyways, here is my interview in full!
R. Grant - Glad to see someone interested in the job
Me - Are you kidding me!? I have always dreamed of this, and it may finally come true.
R. Grant - Im happy in your interest, so tell me, what makes you think you should get this job?
Me - I have watched cycling since I can remember, I cycle on my own, I even play cycling on my computer! I already went to college for business management, so I have the managing skills needed to find sponsors also.
R. Grant - Where would you like to see our team 5 years down the road?
Me - I know it takes time to make it to the big stage, but I would really like to see many improvements and even try to get the team outside of the USA, and maybe into a continental team.
R. Grant - Not all of the team will be making that transition, im sure of it, some of these guys just aren't good enough, what do you think about that, and what would you be willing to do?
Me - I want the team to be successful, and I am willing to do whatever it takes in order to assure that. If there is a rider struggling and he just can't succeed or do what needs to be done, he will have to part ways with the team, its just as simple as that.
R. Grant - I am liking what I am hearing, what do you think about finding sponsors and other needed things?
Me - It has to be done, and if you are going to find anybody suitable for the position, you are looking at him right now. I know I could find us some sponsors, I know I can get at least 1 big one from the USA.
R. Grant - Well I have been searching for almost a month, and you are the first guy to come forward. so I will tell you this. I will give you a week to find sponsors, come up with a jersey, and a league somewhere in the USA for us to be put in.
Me - Consider it done sir.
That was it. I left that house on a mission, I need to find 3 sponsors, one local, 2 nationwide. I have to search around for a league that can get us somewhere, and one that we can compete in. The guys went out for a ride, I know they want this chance, and I am going to do anything that I have to so these guys get the shot they deserve.
Im gonna go do some searching and calling, I will post a write up of the team later on!

The search for a sponsor was on, and finding the local one was quite easy, there is a famous candy making company, Hershey, located in my home state of Pennsylvania, the local popularity as well as the national spotlight was what made this an easy decision. We would go with Reese's!
I also made a call to Gatorade, but they politely denied my request, as they were not looking to go that route. Powerade would do the trick! They accepted without hesitation
No we need a main sponsor. It was harder than it seems. I called up walmart, but they already had a team in one of the leagues. I tried Lowe's, they refused. I gave Pepsi inc. a shot, and they also said they couldn't.
I remembered from last year, Sunkist had sponsored a team that quickly died and dried up in part of the Lance Armstrong doping scandal. I personally am not a strong Armstrong fan, but I think he took great steps in getting USA cyclists out their.
I called Sunkist, explained to them what I was doing, and we agreed on a 3 year deal.
I called upon the shop of FroomeDog's graphics, and was able to agree on this design, which we will wear this year!
I also have the amateur stats from our squad!
I will now begin my lest step in this process, finding a league to get into! I hope to have an offer made by tomorrow!

That Roosevelt Grand guy. Wow.
Some good guys among the team, but also quite a few who still need to learn a lot.

It was, if you click on it, you can tell, plus this isn't really a "pro" team so it should look a little odd if you know what I mean.

You have some nice riders in your squad, but average they aren't the best. And I like the jersey, but why do you choose Sunkist again?
