Still need a few excel sheets though, and am going to have to enforce a deadline of Monday, 8 am Australian Central Standard Time. Anyone who hasn't sent me everything by then, will be removed!
Who will be crowned PCM Daily champion? This is what I want to find out! The idea is that everyone who enters creates five riders to race the road race, and two of which can be nominated to race the time trial. The entire team will now also be competing in a team time trial. These are all put into a database, and the race is run with me reporting from a control team. It will be raced on Extreme.
At this point in time I’m just seeking nominations, with an excel spread sheet being distributed at a later date to those who have nominated. The rules and regulations on creating riders will also be announced at a later date, and I plan to have “fail safes” in the excel spread sheet to help with this.
If we have a large amount of nominations, multiple heats will be run, again with more info to come if this does indeed go ahead.
For those who like to plan ahead, the races will be run on the Belgium National championship courses (except the TTT, course made by me), and expect the riders to have a maximum amount of “points” that you can use to build your rider (which will be different for each of the five riders). This is really the only thing that is up to you as a “manager”.
*New*: More than 2 riders in the same team will not be able to have 80 or above in the same stat.
i.e. one rider can have 85 sprint, but no other rider will be able to have a sprint stat between 80 and 85 (inclusive).
This is going to be a quick, fun and exciting series, with no major commitment required. Nominations are closed 
*New*: If you would like your team to ride with a specific jersey, then start to organize it now I guess. I will need it ready to put into the game (so 32 bit .tga) and submitted at the same time as the excel spread sheet (so you have around 1 week to get it organized). It is not compulsory, but some of you might want a jersey with your name on it or something. The spreadsheet will be distributed soon.

Team Time Trial
A race against the clock, where the entire team must participate, with the time taken on whoever the game chooses (turns out this can't be edited , so all 5 riders must finish). PCM suggests this course will be hilly, but is that flat section enough for some of the specialist teams to make some time over some of the teams that have a more hills focus?
I forgot to mention that the TTT has several (shortish) dirt sections. I don't know how this will effect the race, but it should looks cool anyway

And yes, that does say 36.4%

Individual Time Trial
A race against the clock for a solo rider. Up to 2 riders from each team may participate, with a minimum of 1.
The course is the Belgium national ITT course.
Distance: 52 km

Road Race
The entire team of 5 participates in this race, but only 1 rider (and member of PCM Daily) can be crowned the winner.
The course is the national road race course of Belgium.
Distance: 148.9 km

Sounds good, but is your idea that each team will consist of only three riders?
In that case I expect the morning break to win 9 out of 10 times as no team is big enough to actually reel in the break?

Actually i'm worried about 5 riders, depending on the number of entrants.
Take the leader, so that leaves 4. 1 rider protecting him, as the AI always does, and thats 3 left. A break of 5+ riders from different teams and it can be an issue (depending on the number of teams)

5 is better than 3. If a break succeeds now, then so be it I'm afraid. If we get a few entrants, than this should (hopefully) solve this problem. Tell your friends!

It's up to you, and I have no intention of starting this for at least another couple of days. But as I said, I'm more than happy to run heats if required. I could take up to 21 teams before that would be needed though, and at the moment we have 5. It's no problem whether you do or do not participate, but you should anyway! It'll be fun! (I hope!)
