Standard Bank – Aegon is the new South African team. We are currently a weaker Pro Continental Team and our aim is to employ and develop young talent on our way to the top. Over the next few years we are looking to promote to the World Tour and our long term goal is to win a grand tour. Our sponsors:

South African company Standard Bank was looking to expand into cycling and we jumped at their offer to sponsor us. They have made sure our squad contains 50% Africans, and races competitively in the Africa tour.
Spoiler The Standard Bank of South Africa Limited is one of South Africa's largest financial services groups. It operates in 30 countries around the world, including 17 in Africa. Standard Chartered sold its remaining 39% stake in Standard Bank Group in 1987, transferring complete ownership of the holding company to South African investors.
Aegon are our second main sponsor. They are Dutch that specialize in life insurance. After investing in Tennis they decided to come into cycling and we came to them first. They want us to invest heavily in talents from across the world, as well as in the Netherlands.
Spoiler Aegon was founded in 1983 from the merger of AGO Holding N.V. It is a multinational life insurance, pensions and asset management company headquartered in The Hague, Netherlands. At the end of 2011, Aegon companies employed about 25,000 people worldwide, serving approximately 47 million customers.
Other sponsors:
 KFW Bank
 Shimano
 Science in Sport
 Adidas
 Trek

 Jonathan Tiernan – Locke
Jonathan is the strongest rider signed for our team. He is a puncheur, but he can also survive the mountains.
Jonathan is moving up this season from the Continental Tour, after leaving Endura Racing. We hope he can score well as a part of our team and keep us safe from relegation.
In terms of his schedule, he will ride mainly hilly classics but will also ride hilly stage races. His main goals will be the Tour of Britain and our team's home race, the Tour of South Africa.
 Fabio Duarte
Fabio is our best mountain rider, but he can also ride hills fairly well. Coming from Colombia Coldeportes, he will look to grow in our team as we regard him as one of cycling’s biggest talents.
This year, he will target mountainous stage races in the Continental Tour and the World Tour. His big target for the year is the Giro d’Italia where he is hoping to finish in the top twenty overall.
 Barry Markus
Barry was an ideal signing for us and his signature has pleased our sponsors Aegon. This is because he is a very talented sprinter and he is also dutch.
He has come from WorldTour team Vacansoleil in the hope of learning how to lead a team.
He is our lead sprinter so he will race plenty of flat classics as well as flat stage races which he hopes to do well in. His main target is the Eneco Tour where he will look to gain experience and acieve some high finishes.

@fernando: Thanks for the kind words. I am racing on Extreme so it may be a challenge!
@Stromeon: Thanks, Teklehaimanot would have been nice but he isn’t one of my favourite riders so he didn’t make the cut
@aidan: I thought you might like the squad!
Tour de San Luis
The Squad:
 Jonathan Tiernan – Locke
 Marc Goos
 Dennis Van Niekerk
 Adrien Niyonshuti
 Reinhart Janse Van Rensburg
 Josh Edmonson
Manager’s Comments
We start our season in Argentina for the Tour de San Luis. We bring a strong squad, including team leader Johnathan Tiernan – Locke. He starts his season here and apparently feels good, so we are hoping for a stage win. He will be targeting the hilly Stage 3.
We also bring Reinhart Janse Van Rensburg, who will look to perform in the sprints and the TT. Marc Goos also comes for the TT, but will be hoping to finish well in the mountains on Stage 5 as well.
First report should be up tomorrow or friday |

Looks like a nice team and the presentation is very good as well. I'm curious
Also, the only KfW Bank I could find is German, but I might be mistaken
