Japanese Shoe Brand to Partner with Australian Bank for Cycling Project
Japan's iconic athletic apparel company Onitsuka Tiger has announced a new cycling team to race in the Continental Tour for 2013. They have partnered with Australian bank ANZ, who have supplied most of the funds for the team, yet wish to stay secondary sponsors due to the poor light cycling has been put in recently due to the Lance Armstrong saga. Team boss Edward Blascinzki, known affectionately as Teddy B, said the team would try and "prove the sceptics wrong", and "spread the greatness of the sport that is professional cycling". Onitsuka CEO Motoi Oyama said the brand wanted to take advantage of what is "now a huge part of Japanese and world cultures". More to come.. |

Haha ANZ and NAB both sponsoring cycling teams. Now all we need is Commonwealth Bank...
Interesting project. So much competition in the Asia Tour this season, which is great.

That is absolutely crazy, there are so many quality Spanish riders just as free agents, Competition for Japanese riders could get absolutely insane
