I have been thinking about writing a complete story (my first attempts failed miserably) for a while now. Yesterday i bought the game so it gives me the perfect leverage to start a story now. The story is about the swiss EKZ Team (I did the jersey a few days ago its in the 2012 jersey thread). I was caught up on the decision of doing a story with a real team or make my own one but in the end i decided to choose a real team because i tend to overpoqwer my custom made teams. So here it goes:
The EKZ Racing Team is a small Swiss Continental Team with High ambitions: To achieve Pro Continental (and eventually World Tour Status) by using a strict policy for transfers! The Unique thing is that riders will only be aquired from german speaking countries with the main focus being of Course switzerland! Furthermore, the team management has decided to only let under 26 year old riders join the team so that the team can max out the full potential of its riders! DS Kurt Bürgi will ensure that those transfer policies will be inforced!
The wider mission of the small team is to produce a new generation of young swiss Cyclists that could eventually get a shot in the World Tour and the team would be delighted to have scouted the first swiss Tour de France winner in the history of Swiss Cycling! But at first the Team has to battle its way up to the front of the Peleton against tough opposition and the odd one or two scandals in the own ranks!
You are kindly invited to join the team on their journey to become the best Cycling Team in Swiss History (Which is grantred, not that easy with Phonak being unbelievably strong and doped in the recent past),
Sincierly,
The EKZ RACING TEAM Management
The story will start once i installed the game, installed the daily databse, entered the team and finally familiarized myself with the game (and the editor) first. So itll take a few days...

AND WE ARE OFF WITH THIS ONE!
Well January was a month for us to plan the season until half time in June / July. We will have a lot of pressure on our riders as there is no obvious rotation for squads. Our only sprinter will see some action early on, but overall has the easiest schedule so far! We hope that we can be succesful enough this year as we like to believe that we have a very talented squad.
While we were sitting at the Coffee Table, enjoying some Müesli, Coffee and a lot of Swiss Chocolate (Standard), other riders were in action down South in Australia. (i only comment on Nat. Championships and WT Races)
First Up, as Usual were the Australian Championships. The road Rce was won by reign Tour de France Champion Cadel Evans ahead of Cameron Meyer. Heavily critzised Matthew Lloyd completed the Podium in Bunninyong. Two days later, Evens showed his suprisingly good form again and also took the win in the Australian Championships., by narrowly defeating Cameron Meyer once again. Third Plce was Michael Rogers who had no chance to compete with his fellow country men. The first results of the season suggest that both Evans and Meyer have been seeing a certain Gynocologist (although, as professionals we would never suggest that), but obviously their form early on is superb.
The other race this month was the Santos Tour down Under which was Podiumed by 3 suprises. First up would be FDJ's Jeremy Roy, who won the first WT Event this year. It bodes well for FDJ's year ahead! He was joinde on the podium by Astana's Gavazzi and Katushas Ignatiev. As usual we have a suprising result at the first WT Event. We sure as hell hope to get results as exciting as this throughout the year!
He took the race by Suprise but he certainly is a worthy winner, Jeremy Roy!
UP NEXT: February
Spoiler and EKZ's first race!
