Hey,
I've buyed the new Pro Cycling Manager (2012) today. I installed the
game and everything was ok. There were no problems with the
installation and the activation. So I started the launcher and tried
to run the game. I downloaded the latest patch of the game and started
it again. The launcher closes and nothing happens in the taskbar. The
game does not run. I think the game runs for maybe 2 seconds, because
there is a window which opened after I started the game, but it closes
again a bit after it opens. I've tried to start it normal, I've tried
to start it as administrator, the patch, too. I've done 5
installations in every way it could maybe work, but it never worked. I
think every PC requirement should be enough.
Medion Laptop
Operating system: Windows 7 Home Premium (Service Pack 1)
Processor: 4x Intel Core i3 CPU M350 2.27 GHz
RAM: 4,00 GB
System type: 32-Bit
Audio: ATI High Definition Audio Device
Graphics card: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5165
I hope you will send me an answer soon, that will help me to start
the game.
Sincerely,
Lance Armstrong 1990 |

Have you tried starting with the antivirus off? |

On a side note, you are NOT in the official forum and you are NOT addressing the officials here. Just in case you did not know.
Here some info from the official forum:
Run the game as an administrator
1. Open Computer then Local Disk (C:).
2. Open Program Files or Program Files (x86) folder.
3. Open Cyanide folder then Pro Cycling Manager - Season 2011 folder.
4. Right mouse click 'PCM.EXE' (PCM) application file and click Properties.
5. Click Compatibility tab.
6. Check 'Run this program as an administrator' and click OK button.
7. Run the game.
Black or white screen at the start, or crash
For many reasons, Pro cycling Manager may not start properly. Here are some tricks to try to solve the problem :
-launch the game in admin mode;
-shut down the antivirus : some antivirus simply cut the applications with no warning;
-launch the game from Program files instead of autorun.
-skip the start videos : A codec problem may prevent the game from starting. You can rename the 'videos' folder in your installation folder.
-Change the 'my documents' folder : rename your 'Pro Cycling Manager 2011' folder in 'my documents', but don't delete it ! if the game starts, a new Pro Cycling Manager 2011 folder will be built. You can then try to add the files from the former folder and identify which file is corrupted. Most of the time, the murderer is 'local.cdb'.
If that does not help, then you might want to read this: https://www.cyanid...mp;t=12961
BTW: Did you ever play a PCM game? Did you bought the game in Steam? And finally, as you might have noticed in my previous sentence, "buyed" is not an English word.

This problem you have is similar to the following thread.
https://pcmdaily.com/forum/viewthread....d_id=23390
But first you need to do the way Lachi wrote. |

After pushing the play the game button (doesn't matter if I do it from the program files or autorun) the screen gets white for some seconds before it crashes and I get that "cyanide crash reporter" up to send a complaint of sort (wich i have done btw) |

And you are sure that you did all the things mentioned on my list?
You could try to reset the game, but try version B first.
Reset the settings of Pro Cycling Manager 2011:
(Beware, it will erase your progress if you don't make a copy of the folder named Users)
A. My documents
1. Click Windows Start button and click My Documents or Documents.
2. Delete Pro Cycling Manager 2011 folder.
3. Run Pro Cycling Manager 2011.
B. Roaming folder
1. Open Computer then Local Disk (C:).
2. Open Users folder.
3. Open your username folder.
4. Open AppData folder (*)
5. Open Roaming folder.
6. Delete Pro Cycling Manager 2011 folder.
7. Run Pro Cycling Manager 2011.
(*) Note that on some Windows systems the application data folder is hidden by default.
Here is how to make it visible:
Open the Folder Options by clicking the Start button and click Control Panel.
On the Control Panel, click Appearance and Personalization and click Folder Options.
On the Folder Options, click on the View tab.
Under the Advanced settings, click Show hidden files and folders and click Ok.

That was obvious to me. Therefore I said you have to reset the game. |
