"A tip of the hat to provincial France, the France of the Tour. Our caravan will set off from Samatan, a large town with 2,200 inhabitants which is the main town of the Gers canton. It will probably be a calm start, as the stage is not particularly tough. A sprint finish would be the logical outcome, and I actually hope it happens, because pure sprinters will not get many chances to shine in this Tour. The finish in Pau will be beautiful, like always. This is the 64th time that the Tour visits this city, which is almost a record. Let us pay homage to this city, which we see as a stronghold and a strategic place."

Sprint.

I sort of hope Cavendish will bounce back here.
Otherwise, the usual suspects: Greiepl, Sagan, Goss.

Tomorrow the perfect stage to have a sleep. Then comeback in the last 5km to watch Greipel beating Sagan on the line.

My bet is on a breakaway again .

This stage is tailor made for a Sagan show Smile

Looks like the categorized climbs are somewhat comparable to Saturday's, but I don't see much of a selection coming.

Neither are they hard enough to significantly drop sprinters, nor is there any reason for GC guys to make the race hard.

So either a clear breakaway like today, or, a bit more likely, bunch sprint with Greipel hopefully snatching another win.

Apart from a good day of racing, I hope for a hate-free thread for Stage 15 Pfft

It looks pretty hilly and taking the fact that we only have 2 into consideration, maybe 3, team which are interested in a sprint, i'm going for a break. Orica messed up last time and must realize that Goss can't beat Sagan, Greipel and Cav in an ordinary sprint in this year Tour de France. Lotto should be the team to drag them in which I don't see happen

Hope for a different rider winning. I'm tired of seeing Greipel and Sagan taking them all. Pfft

Matthijs_Valverde
Well, this should make for a mass-sprint finish, as todays riders tend to not give it all in the break-away. God, how much did I love the days of Dekker, Durand and such guys.

From a fan on twitter who is out on route:
thick oil poured on descent from lahitte toupiere this morning. obvious sabotage

Also, turns out that Kiserlovski didnt physically crash. Brajkovic punctured, so Kiserlovski stopped to give him his wheel, then Leipheimer rode into Kiserlovski...
