Ya it would be more fun if they let Froome free but lets be fucking realistic here and Wiggins is already the winner. TVG is different in that if Evans is done TVG will be the leader next year unless they make a big signing so maybe letting him go is good for the future.
Letting Froome go might be fun, but why risk anything? They have Yellow wrapped up, and almost certainly a second podium spot. Next year (we will assume for now Froome isn't banned) perhaps it's his turn?
As for TVG/Evans, I was hugely surprised to see that Evans lost contact and TVG didn't, I still hadn't really considered TVG that caliber of climber yet. I would still try and get Evans through, but if the White Jersey comes under threat I would let TVG go and defend it over aiding Evans.

Froome is clearly the strongest rider in France this year. I understand why they will continue to support Wiggo, but i dont like it in any sport, the strongest should win.
In BMC i would say for Evans still ,he is the experienced in these two and i hope he will be good in third week again.
Well, Froome is getting paid to protect Wiggins, not to attack him, regardless he's stronger or not.
Evans shouldn't have attacked yesterday, if he hadn't he would have had more energy on the final climb and probably wouldn't have been dropped. He said he had a bad day but optimistically said "its not over yet." I wouldn't count him out yet, but he needs to pull off something special.
It'll be interesting to see the tactics of BMC and Liquigas in the Pyrenees.
There is still a long way to go, Wiggins may end up having a problem/crash or something which could knock him out of contention and in that case Froome would have to take the win.

Why is good idea and not let Froome go ? There are only 2 stages Wiggins needs to survive really and come with the favourites and he won the yellow. And so far he's shown he can do it. Wiggins already has big gap to favourites and will gain more in the TT.
It's nothing like Vuelta, where Wiggins can be destroyed on Angrilu. Because there's no climb like that in Tour. All suit him quite well from this point on and he should hold with Nibali and Evans easily.
