I was wondering if someone could give me a list of races that usually have a varying route year to year, because I've got 7 weeks off from uni and I'm bored already, only a week in, so I'm keen to make a few variants. Without trying to sound arrogant, I know how to use stage maker and all the races I make are usually decent enough, so I wanted to start making a few more for use in future DBs,
If someone associated with the databases could tell me which races usually don't have that many variants made for them, I'll give them a go. I figure the big tours usually have plenty made, so even some smaller 2.1 and 2.2 races would be fine. Thanks. |

There are the ones included in the PCM.Daily DB, which should give you some idea. The variant stages listed are:
- 5 new Tour de France routes
- 2 new Vuelta a Espana routes
- 5 new Giro d'Italia routes
- 2 new Paris-Nice routes
- 4 new Tirreno-Adriatico routes
- 3 new Tour de Suisse routes
- 2 new Criterium du Dauphine routes
- 1 new Vuelta al Pais Vasco route
- 2 new Tour de Pologne route
- 1 new Tour de Romandie route
- 1 new Tour Down Under route
- 1 new Volta a Catalunya route
- 6 new routes for the World ITT Championship
- 7 new routes for the World RR Championship
So really anything that isn't part of the WorldTour doesn't get too many variants. Personally, however, if you really want to do something awesome you should make .2 races - not many people bother to give them real profiles and given that Cyanide have said that there aren't real profiles for the courses in the standard game, they will need to get done anyway. I would be eternally grateful as well because that is mostly what I plan on playing.

Yeah, I might give them a go, but only because you're Australian as well. I think it would be a decent idea too to have a sticky or something with a list of the races that have been made, that way we can keep track of what's been done, and not have different people making the same races 3 or 4 times. Might start loading up on the gpx's now and then start making when it comes out on the 21st.
Ps, were you watching the TDS on Eurosport? That guy's voice is horrendous. |

Haha I was watching it yeah. I thought that he was narrating an eBook. Also I couldn't understand the French guy with him.
As for the list, it is a good idea. You can find most of them in the PCM11 stage sub forum but there should be master list.

Commentators on Eurosport are terrible most of the time
Best commentators are Belgian (though not always ) |

If you want to make your own, just don't use the same file name as the original file. |

Does the variant happen automatically for the following season or do you have to add it yourself |
