Well here I am again...starting a new page. My attempts at creating a team, and keeping up with it have been failures. I just don't have the time to do each race on its own. The season just doesn't move fast enough. So I'm taking a whole new approach, going to create (well edit) a rider, and let the game do the work for me from there.
Here is the background info of what I am running:
2012 DB, Evolution at .3, Database Randomized.
Started the season, took an American Young Rider and adjusted his stats to have 8 potential and adjusted his starting stats to be competitive with the best young riders. His potentials for all Grand Tour related skills are in the 80s. Other potentials also pretty high.
I will not control very much. His career is up to him and the game, I will have no influence on where he signs, how he progresses, what he races, ect. The objective is to see how dominate a rider with enormous potential can become.

Interesting idea... I'd put him in Garmin. He's an American, so Garmin would be realistic. Plus, I'd like to see Garmin with a rider that can finish in the top 5 of a Grand Tour. It would be fun to watch him on that team. Good Luck with your story |

I'd put Liquigas-Cannondale! Could be interesting to see how he would do with Nibali and Basso |

AG2R FTW! Just kidding. It'd probably be a horrible fit, but it's no different than Lance Armstrong to Cofidis. Plus, it'd be a quite interesting story.

Okay, just to clarify. I put the poll up for entertainment purposes only, it will have zero impact on where Kyle Lewis actually ends up...that is up to him (and whoever pays the most).

Okay, done for tonight, got everything started, information is out, halfwayish through 2012. Things will slow down more when we actually get our feature rider on a team though. Instead of just very basic information I will break down each race.

As a young up and coming American rider i think he would be well suited for BMC |

Michele Scarponi won the Italian ITT!?
Give a man a fish and feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime. Teach a man to cycle and he will realize fishing is stupid and boring.

Would be interesting to see him at GreenEdge, they don't have a very strong climber yet...

Proud to announce that Kyle Lewis was signed by Garmin - Barracuda! Surprised to see the big team jump out to sign him before Spidertech which sponsored him.

Santos Tour Down Under 2013
Date | Route (Type) | Result | Jan19-24 | Santos Tour Down Under | 148th, +10'15" | Jan19 | Clare - Tanunda (Sprint) | 145th, +38" | Jan20 | Gawler - Hahndorf (Sprint) | 125th, +0" | Jan21 | Unley - Stirling (Hills) | 136th, +7'26" | Jan22 | Norwood - Goolwa (Sprint) | 149th, +59" | Jan23 | Snapper Point - Willunga (Sprint) | 147th, +59" | Jan24 | Adelaide - Adelaide (Sprint) | 140th, +0" |
I would highly doubt that Kyle Lewis was concerned about doing anything special in Australia. Just being in his first professional race would be good enough, the fact it was a UCI WorldTour race makes it even better. Finishing every kilometer and not withdrawing had to be the goal for the 19 year-old rider.
Kyle would be one of the domestiques for Garmin - Barracuda, which sent Marcel Kittel as their leader for the race, likely looking to take the points victory. Kittel would win 3 stages and come in 2nd in points, which should qualify as a well run race.
I think this is a great building block for the start of Kyle Lewis's young career as he can now build on a solid foundation.
