Hey guys,
Almost done with my first season (currently at last week of Vuelta) PCM 11 with the Rabobank where I basically play all WT races on hard..
Although I didn´t win any 1 day races I did dominate the Giro and currently the domination in the Vuelta is getting ridiculous with Kruijswijk and L.L. Sanchez being 1 and 2.. not to mention that every single jersey is in possession of Kruijswijk..
So obviously I´m thinking everything might get a little a bit to easy on Hard..
So 2 questions..
The difference between hard and extreme game play wise.. how big is it?
I can imagine that especially for the GT it will be huge.. since the 1 point diff. will be a 1 point diff every single day..
If you would dominate the Vuelta like I do.. would you make the step to extreme?
Cheers |

Vuelta is tipically easier than any other race/GT because the AI orribly manages racedays of his riders. the field is weaker than usual, too.
On extreme for me it's almost impossible to compete in sprints and mountain stages, even when i have top-class riders. |

I pplay on hard. I got 4th in the Giro with Dan Martin (Garmin), - really out there. But, then I went to the tour and got a realistic 8th with Hesjedal. It's just the poor AI, as titleist82 said. Don't make the jump unless you have also dominated the monuments and TDF.

Alright not the responses I expected but it does make sense..
It's true that the field in the Giro and currently in the Vuelta are quite weak.. ratingwise Gesink and Kruijswijk are the best climbers in the field so I guess it makes sense especially when they are on topform during those GT's.. TDF didn't work out.. managed to get a 11th place with Kruijswijk and Gesink just lost his form (didn't know about the 60+ racedays decrease in topform)
I think the best performance at a big 1 dayrace was 3th at MSR with Breschel but I'm deffo not dominating those.. mainly top 10s ish but I don't have the material to compete with the big guys..
But thanks for the answers.. guess I'll stick at hard and maybe start over with a weaker team.. dunno |

Completely true!!!
and additional to this, i think HARD level is really good for a weak team, but, with an strong team, is better extreme. |

In my opinion, the deciding factor is whether it is still fun for you to play on hard. If you get bored, then you should change. If you're still excited when you win, then you might just as well stay at hard.
Also, if you don't know how hard extreme actually is - why don't you try it? If you don't want to risk it in your career, there's still single race mode.

Just try Tour of Qatar e.g. on extreme with someone besides Sky and you will see the difference right away, your riders will be dead in front of the finishing line
As someone suggested earlier, i also think hard is best for the CT and weaker WT temas and extreme for teams like SKY,BMC, Radioschlick or if you are really good in the game. Try it in the single-race modeand decide.

you raider have normal skills, instead cpu raider get +2.5% at hard lvl
and +5% for extreme lvl.
no gameplay changes!!
any race have one more diff coefficent, i.e. giro and vuelta have 1.0 (no bonus/malus for cpu), Tour have 1.2 (bonus for cpu).
similar for others races
extreme lvl is fully playable i won giro with van der brock (81 mon) at 3rd year after a game start with a custom team and only with national sponsor.
if u pay max attenction in 3d races and if u have a good planned year it is possible to do (u have to be an expert player too)
play fun
