The Isle of Man is a self governing Crown dependency, containing 2 continental cycling races, which is the topic for our discussion today.
The first brings the best TTers in the tour together, and with 3 sections, a flat start, a climb to the second check point, before a downhill finish, thus testing all aspects of a rider.
Ignatiev is the favourite, and defending champion, although I get the feeling that's not quite right. Challenging him, Reus has been in good form, and home favourite Stannard is not to be sniffed at. After those three though, the field drops off dramatically, with Larsson the 4th Favourite. Scadlich's non-selection is being the major surprise.

Next is the Manx international, the organisers went wild on this course, so we have 3 laps of the route, this will be interesting though, as it strikes a contrast to the shorter, sharper hills we usually see in the CT.
Bellis will be up for this, and the probable sprint finish makes him the natural favourite, while Konnovalovas leads the other local team.
Challenging Bellis will be Roche, Kolobnev, Di Maggio and Wegmann, although interestingly no hilly sprinters have turned up, Docker is probably the only rider who could even theoretically fill that position.

Been looking forward to these - the historic motorbike TT course in action.
Curious to see how well Tennant can do in the TT, while it definately my hilly A-Team for the RR

A shame that I forgot about the TT. Boom would have had a nice chance here.
So at least I hope for a good result by Hermans in the Manx International. |

Larsson should be good in the TT, a top 5 will be nice, and I won't complain at all if he manages to steal the last podium place from home favourite Stannard |

Maybe Wegmann can get a podium, but Bellis must be the favorite. He has a very good team around and is strong sprinter, too. Combined with the nationality bonus he should easily take the win.

Brought my best possible team here. It's a little concerning how far off we are...
Rapha will probably dominate, but it will be interesting for both races

Is the start of the race and TT the same place as the start of the Snaefell Mountain Course or not? Looks like it from the profile but I wasn't sure. Looks like two interesting races anyway, Rapha look very strong. |

Yes, I know that, but I was wondering if the start line was at the top of Bray Hill as I wasn't sure. |

I do wonder myself why Schädlich aint racing here, might be I decided that it was too hilly for him. But in hindsight it does not seem logical, specially considering that he got 2 free racedays... Beats me

Once more no expectations, only hoping for a good report
Reus and Bellis are my picks.

6th for Bobridge, that's quite good. Some points for Oz here. Well done by Larsson, he destroyed the opponents.

Finally a victory for our big Swede. An absolutely amazing display from Larsson. Great!

Although Larsson's manager has been talking up his form.
Guess I should put pressure on him in the coming races, looks like he knows how to handle it, after a bunch of 2nd places
Thanks for the report, mb. |

Congratulations to Larsson and Aker, nicely done.
Rolland's performance was certainly not what we expected. Well, it can't always be his day.

Congrats to Aker and Larsson, didn't expect that. Hugely disappointing from Stannard, you don't expect one of the Top 3 favourites to be 8th and not even top from his team.
Isn't the Osterreich Rundfahrt due soon? Just I thought it started around the same time as the Tour.

Can't complain much with a fifth place. Congrats Aker!
What happened to the frames btw?

Ignatiev cannot get a win from anywhere - thought he would get this one but again denied on this very tough TT course. Underlines that the previously reliable TTer points haul is pretty much behind us.
Pretty legendary work creating this IOMTT circuit and bringing it to the ManGame - hope it settles in for a good long run.
Looking forward to the Manx International too.

Can't think of a more suitable place to have an ITT, since the ProTour has got Herbiers!
And Ive got the whole island mapped out, so it's never going to be hard to create any Isle of Man race in future!
