I'm playing in career mode with the 2012DB, but have been unable to get past 12/09, on account of the game crashing everytime the game simulates stage 8 of the Tour de l'Avenir (ITT). Strangely, the same has happened before in this save with U23 stages, but the problem has miraculously disappeared before. Can someone tell me if there's anything to be done, please? here is the log:

The stage file is not good. Normally these kind of problems have to be fixed by the stage maker or DB maker, so you should be able to find a solution looking in the correct thread / subforum.
It's not a general issue in the DB, mainly because we didn't change anything related to the U23 races. Did you edit them yourself or use another DB that did?
Either way, try to replace top_giro_21.cds with another time trial stage. Make a backup first.
I hadn't edited anything myself. I know it's not a general issue with the DB, hence the hesitation about where to talk, after the SEARCH i did yielded no results. saw similar problems which ended up being resolved replacing stage files (same stage, corrected), but didn't know if anything else could be done.
Replacing both stage files with another ITT did work. Thanks.
