The real version will be that he's actually returning for the Tour .

Long live clean cycling, see how we don't get any more positives (bar a couple of idiots) ? The fight against doping has just been won.
Irony aside, the way antidoping works is a problem. Compare it to a random well-working democracy. There's a major conflict of interest when the federations manage their own antidoping system. WADA should be in charge of it, from the beginning till the end, and UCI should by no way be able to interfere.

Yes - the fight against doping well and truly won - until the next time the UCI and some big race organizers fall out..... |

Speaking of Ashenden, everyone with just a tiny interest in doping should read this interview which goes behind the scenes of the CAS case against Contador.
https://nyvelocity.com/content/intervi...l-ashenden
Other than getting to know the inside details of the case, Ashenden also mentions that Contador had highly irregular blood results in 2010 - among other interesting details. |

That also confirms something that I had only read once in a Spanish newspaper, that Contador has an exemption for high haematocrit, 52% iirc.

According to local newspaper, Bretagne-Schüller's future is in jeopardy due to the team's non-selection for the upcoming Tour de France.
They have a board meeting early next week (Tuesday or Wednesday), and J. Blévin (chairman) is likely to resign, whereas Schüller would part at the end of the season.
I don't see this non selection as a shame, the other 4 teams deserved it at least as much... |

Bretagne-Schuller in TDF? Really.. Would be a joke. Did they really believed they would get a spot?
