for once, the person who started one of these topics has some news
Eddy Merckx isint happy with Contador's 2 yearban
https://www.sbs.co...:%20Merckx
I also think that 2 years is a bit rough with only a small small number of clenbuterol

" WITH THE QUANTITY THAT THEY FOUND IT’S REALLY STUPID. THEY GO ZERO, ZERO, ZERO, ZERO, ZERO, ZERO YOU CAN ALWAYS FIND SOMETHING IN EVERY BODY AT THAT POINT. "
Really Eddy.

Contador discussions belong in the Contador doping thread. |

Giro del Friuli cancelled because the race director is a pimp.
No, that's not a typo.

After Contador`s case the CAS finally managed to do the Ullrich case.
He is spoken guilty and loses all results after 1st of May 2005. So the 3rd in the Tour 2005 or the Tour de Suisse win 2006.
Good for Ullrich, who is happy that all the waiting is over now. A comment by Ullrich can be expected today or in the next days, where he wants to "explain" some things. |

Oh no. I'm sure he's devastated by the effect this will have on the next few years of his career.

The results of tour of Switzerland and TDF are important but I think that is not going to make a big difference for him |

No. He already said that the most important thing is that it`s over. The last 6 years haven`t been easy for him with the peak being the burnout in 2010.
He yesterday had a meeting with a new sponsor. (Alpecin - Doping for your hairs )
He obviously was lucky like rarely before seeing that it`s coming finally to an end no matter what the decision.
Tonight or tomorrow morning he wants to give an explanation then. And then continue to ride small amateur races. |

3rd of the Tour de France 2005 -> Francisco Mancebo
1st of the Tour de Suisse 2006 -> Koldo Gil
ITT stage win Giro d'Italia 2006 -> Ivan Basso
ITT stage wins at the Deutschland Tour 2005 and Tour de Suisse 2006 would be Bradley McGee and Bobby Julich (or Julich and McGee)

Nice bunch of guys who for some of them have also been involved in Puerto.
It's ok to strip off Ullrich's win or achievements, but giving them to the next one in the classification is more problematic for me. |

Seems as if Contador can ride and still get points in the Vuelta.
Article 25.2 of the WADA rules namely protecting the riders from being convicted of rules, that are stricter than that which prevailed when they committed the offense. And when Alberto Contador submitted his urine sample with a small amount of clenbuterol on 21 July 2010, he thus oppose to be punished by a rule that is introduced during the World Cup in Copenhagen in September 2011.

But wouldn't that also apply to all the other dopers, who return to Pro Tour now? Valverde and the like |

Appearently it should - According to the article:
25.2:
"…the case shall be governed by the substantive anti-doping rules in effect at the time the alledged anti-doping rule violation occurred…"

Obviously the UCI is planning to add a 28th race to the UCI World Tour Calendar.
The Tour of Hangzhou is another Chinese race being races one week after Beijing.
Haven`t found any news about the route or so. |
