PCM Daily Pro Cycling Team
Neillster
I've been inspired by the stories that have been started by some of the members about players profiles in a custom team.

I'm now creating one of my own, having already selected the riders for the team.

These include:
Peter Neilly (Neillster)
James Neal (Valverde321)
Adam Selling (Pellizotti2)
Javier Luces (ricotero_uy)
Thomas Eriksen (10theri)
Juan Crosera (Andy Schleck)
Eden Bristow (Eden95)
Luis Trivelatto (lluuiiggii)
Guilherme Freitas (FreitasPCM)
Rui Castelo (baia)
Sam Kuijken (sam1192)
Felix Meyer (cunego59)
Ruben Lampe (ruben)
Marc Nonsense (SportingNonsense)
Daniel Irwin (CountArach)
Martion Sarthou (TrekMadone)
Alexander Sylte (montolivo)
Vlad Hoaghe (VladuuTs)
Martin Scherrer (dankin)
Jordan Birtles (brewers90)
Matthias de Kimpe (longimanus)
Jan Hoekstra (fjhoekie)
Phil Hoyle (the_hoyle)
Jakab Zoltan (jaxika)
Benjamin Tornbo (White Jersey)

These are the riders, now I need a team name, jersey, logo and sponser. I don't have Photoshop and I'll admit, don't want to spend the ridiculous money necessary to buy Photoshop, so all suggestions welcome.Grin

If you want a team with logos and everything you could take one from the numerous sponsors already included. Then you already have all that stuff.

Australian Championships

Both Irwin and Bristow are representing Vodafone today. Irwin is in better fitness, on 73pts whilst Bristow is on 64pts. As usual, all the big names are the favourites, Evans, Gerrans and Haussler.

Irwin is determined to ride with every breakaway today, but no-one other than him is prepared to do the work to make any break succeed. Then, with 45km to go, Bristow, having examined Evans and found out how bad his fitness is, makes his move.

i1182.photobucket.com/albums/x448/Neillster/AusChampBristow.jpg

He sets a good distance between himself and the peleton (1'45''Wink before 3 others attack: Sutherland (UnitedHealthCare), Gerrans (Sky) and Haussler (Garmin).

i1182.photobucket.com/albums/x448/Neillster/AusChampE22.jpg

Their attack takes them to with in 1'00'' of Bristow, does he have the fitness to withstand them?

Back in the peleton, now 3' behind E2, Irwin sets off with 15km to go in the hope of taking 5th. Again, no-one reacts.

i1182.photobucket.com/albums/x448/Neillster/AusChampIrwin.jpg

In the end, Bristow has the strength to carry him over the finish line! What a brilliant start to the season him and hopefully a sign of things to come.

Good thing I downloaded the national champions jerseys. Grin

Australian Individual Time Trial Championships

i1182.photobucket.com/albums/x448/Neillster/AusChampITT.jpg

I just simulated the race as neither Irwin or Bristow are good enough time trialists to win this one.

Results
1 Richie Porte Saxobank Sungard 42'19''
2 Cameron Meyer Garmin - Cervelo +6''
3 Rory Sutherland UnitedHealthCare s.t.
4 Eden Bristow VODAFONE PRO CYCLING TEAM +34''
5 Jack Bobridge Garmin - Cervelo +58''
6 Michael Rogers Sky Pro Cycling Team +1'31''
7 Matthew Goss HTC - Highroad +1'34''
8 Michael Matthews Rabobank Cycling Team +1'48''
9 Rohan Dennis Rabobank Cycling Team +2'21''
10 Luke Roberts Saxobank Sungard +2'22''

Whilst I was right that our riders couldn't win the race, I'm very pleased with Bristow's 4th. This 15 year old has a bright future.

Porte did well today, despite his lack lustre performance in the road race. I did help though that Evans was in such bad that he finished 30th!
