I like basketball but I'm much more into European basketball than NBA tbh. I do believe there will be a 2011/12 season, but it'll be a reduced schedule imo.

I really like basketball, in fact, I play basketball for a local team in my town. I really prefer NBA in front of European basketball and I am a big fan of Boston Celtics. I am 100% sure, that there will be a lockout and more possibly, I believe there will be no 2011/12 season in NBA.
Being right on the border of New York and Connecticut, I am a big knicks fan. But sadly, the sides are too far apart to come to an agreement and salvage a season.
I don't mind the lockout. Yah it sucks for the fans, but it will make hockey much more popular in nontraditional market cities. I don't think they will reach an agreement, but if they do Go Raptors!
Nice to see some other NBA-fans around here.
Some of you are pessimistic about the Lockout but I hope the season can start as soon as possible, if not full then shortened but there has to be a season! Friday's talks will be very important!
Personnally, I am a fan of some younger teams with very good young talents like the Clippers (and BLAKE!!!) and the T-wolves with Beasley.
Just wondering? Who do you guys think is better? Kobe or Lebron? My vote goes to Lebron!

Kobe is better. He has more range and can hit from anywhere on the court, from any circumstance.
As much as I dont want to say it, Lebron is better, and more clutch. Just look at their 4th quarter stats!
The reason people still say Kobe is more clutch etc. is because he has better range, and can therefore afford to take a shot for 3 where he's only being lightly covered.
Nobody can deny the Lebron is better. People always say Lebron isn't clutch, because he's missed a few shots late in games, but so has Kobe.
In last years NBA Finals Lebron definately was not clutch. He had been dominating the whole playoffs and then gets to the finals and finally gets to prove he is a champion and blows it.

Obviously I am a Mavs supporter. But already before last season.
I just love to see Nowitzki playing as also their other players like Kidd, Terry or Barea. It was great team work and a fabulous Dirk, who let them win the trophy.
The real strength of a player is if he can make everybody in the team playing better. Definitely something Nowitzki proved in the past.
He might not be the best player and surely not the most spectacular one, but surely one of the best and maybe the best European ever played in the NBA.
And I don`t want to compare LBJ and Kobe. Kobe had his best days a few seasons ago, while LBJ still needs a bit to become the very best, he surely has the talent.
Actually there are so many great players in the NBA next to them. No matter if Rose, Blake, Love... all of them are still pretty young and will improve in future.
Also a player I like playing is Andrea Bargnani. He remembers me a bit on Dirk and if I am not totally wrong he is still under 25, isn`t he?

Well, Bargnani is totally terrible in defence. In offence, he is good player, a little bit like Dirk. In fact, he is and the most probably, he will be only a good NBA player, not a star. But who knows, he is still quite young. But yeah, I like Bargani as well, as I really like another Italian - Danilo Gallinari as like many other European players.
And I almost forgot. The storm to NBA is coming. Jan Vesely - Washinghton Wizards!

Yeah. That`s pretty probably. I didn`t mean that he would become one of the best. There others have definitely more talent. I just meant his style of playing. He is good in the zone and also a great 3pt shooter.
Also Nowitzki is often claimed to be a bad defender but in fact the whole team is stronger in the defense with him on the field.

That is what i am looking for the most, i hope he will get nice minutes and show us his impressive flying skills. Btw Wizards could be my new favourite team, with youngsters like Wall,Vesely,Blatche and the others (i have a great franchise with them in my Nba2k11 save )
And yeah, Dirk is great, i was a massive Mavericks fan, when he was a new player in the league and played with Nash, but i dont like Kidd in there now.
