I'm back in stagemaking again, but a bit different from before. I will now only create real races and stages. The Tour variant won't be finished, since I don't have the motivation for it. I'm not happy with the stages I've done in it and therefore I feel that it will be better to start something new.
Vuelta a Burgos (HC)
Giro di Padania (2.1)
Città di San Vendemiano - GP Industria e Commercio (1.2U)
GP San Giuseppe (1.2)
Tour de France 2000: two stages
World championships - Bologna
Giro '12: stage 9, 19
Critérium du Dauphine - '07 version
World championships 2000 - Plouay (Two RR versions)
La Flèche d'Emeraude (1.1)
Aix-les-Bains - Col de la Charmette
Great Ocean Ride
Int. Raiffeisen Grand Prix (1.2)
Vuelta a Andalucia (HC)
Vuelta '12: stage 14, 20

Here's the first race I've created.
Four quite easy stages and one very hard. It's possible that someone might surprise the sprinters with a late attack though. Especially stage three provides a great opportunity for it with a small hill not far from the finish. The overall will most likely be decided up the slopes to San Valentino on stage 4 though. The final climb averages 8,6%, but has parts at over 10%. In other words, a hard climb. Ivan Basso for the overall win like irl?
Route-wise the stages are the same as irl, but I've added some more intermediate sprints and KoM sprints to make the race more exciting with riders fighting for the points.

Good to see you back with some real races! Giro Padania looks great, as always! Will be an interesting race to play! Keep it going!

Thank you tsmoha! I'm glad you like it.
Città di San Vendemiano - GP Industria e Commercio (1.2U)
An U23 race around a circuit in the city of San Vendemiano. The circuit includes two relatively hard climbs, especially the second one, which has parts at over 10% gradient. Certainly hard enough to split the peloton and certainly hard enough to create a gap with a strong attack up it. However, after the top of the second climb there is a quite easy part which might prevent escapees from succeeding. A small group battling it out for the win is likely.
Screens:
Another Italian one day race taking place on a circuit. This time a bit more south, in the small town of Montecassiano to be more precise. The town is located just north of Macerata, which means that the terrain is hilly. The course takes on one major climb and then a shorter one. The first, longer one is quite easy gradient-wise, but it's definitely hard enough to create selection. After the riders have reached the top of it, it's downhill to the 1KM-to-go-sign where the road rises again. This time a lot steeper, with the last 700 meters averaging 8%. That will provide one very interesting finish.

Nice work, yes!
Any ideas/plans of which race you will do next? I'm just wondering, there are still a couple of races without original stages in DailyDB (just checked it today) I may do some races next week (one fantasy to replace San Luis) and Delta Tour Zeeland.. is there any chance you will do a race like ZLM or Vuelta a Burgos, for example?

Thanks Olympus and Avin. Always great to hear that people are enjoying it.
tsmoha: That is exactly the kind of suggestions that I want. I'll start doing those two today, and just tell me if you have any other suggestions. |

Thanks capstardk. Always nice to get comments from other stagemakers.
This year's Burgos route is really hard. Not much of a chance is given to the sprinters, since all the road stages finishes uphill. The first three of them probably wont create any big gaps, but the final stage finishing up in Lagunas de Neila will definitely hurt the non-climbers. A strong climber with a good team to help him in the team time trial will probably take the overall win.
