mates i just need to ask someone for telling me what should i do. i have bought the game, payed 45 EUR (not a small amount of money in my country), downloaded, installed and enjoyed awesome gameplay this yr. BUT i had to reinstall my OS (win7) on friday, than i installed pcm 11 again and when i tried to use me activation code, it keeps saying that its on some "black list" or smtin, now im like WTF !!! i properly payed a heck lot of money for a product i CANT use, because of some stupid DRM protection, i mean what world we are living in ... enough of my anger, pardon me.
now seriously i have sent at least 5 emails to focus tech center asking for a new activation code and ..... wait for it ... im waiting two days now and there is 0 response, WTF again this is how you treat your customers, ppl who make your paycheck possible ...
so question is am i totally screwd now? did i throw 45 EUR thru window?
thanks in advance, apperciate any advice or help from you mates, and sorry for my anger, cant help it ....

btw you allright with that mates? im doing new OS install twice or 3times a year, and it scares me to death that i everytime will have to go thru this, why cant i just play the game, ive payed for that and this looks to me like punishment for it. |

You can activate the game 3 times, so you should not get any problems if you install your OS only 3times per year.
What did you to your three activations anyway? Did you gave the key to another person?
But if you really reset your OS often, then the best way is to back up the registry entries of the game:
1. Install the game, then search the registry for "Cyanide" or "Cycling" (without the quotes). You should find 3 'folders', export these and you can activate your game as often as you want. It is recommended to do this BEFORE you install the patch.
2. After you reinstalled your OS, install the game. Now double click the 3 exported registry saves. Then install the latest patch.
Please note:
The registry saves do work until you replace essential components of your computer, install another OS or install the OS with another key.
BTW:
I cannot see any punishment in this process. If you do uncommon things to your computer, then prepare yourself for uncommon problems.
I reset my OS 10 times a year and I never had any problems with the games I play.

lachi: i do nothing unusual to my pc, its just microsoft and their "reliable" OS, but its way better with 7 than vista. anyway, last yr i bought the game and have 3 activations, thats what scares me now, that my number was used only once and its gone now. and hell no i did not give my number to anyone!
registry backup is a nice idea, will do that for sure later on, if it solved in some kind of way.
also never have problems with games i play, because i do not play games with sick f** DRMs, like games from Ubisoft, but pcm is my heart, so its kinda different, this is my top game since 2005 
btw you dont see punishment? isnt that should be that you payed for a game so you should be able to instal, play without any complications? im waiting now 3days for some response and that seem to me like a big complicaton!

again tried to activate now, it keeps saying, server denied activation, your number is on blacklist ... why would my number be on blacklist, i didnt gave my number to anyone, i just used it once with my first installation and thats it.
ok im getting really desperate with this situation. pretty great really, flushed 45 EUR into toilet. and cant play my favourite game ... and have to say they made it way better than last yr and i cant play, sad, sad situation!

me again, am starting to feel a bit embarrassing, but i need to ask again, anyone knows how long it usually take them to make some response? its been 4 days now, since ive emailed them. had a few days off the work and wanted to play pcm, but thats gone now
should i send other request or what heck i have to do to play the game that cost me 45 EUR ???

Yes, send them another request. They tend to work slowly but it is not bad to push them once a while (they get many mails like this). |

youre actually saying its useless ... and it seems like im referred to wait, who knows how long, for something like maybe someone opens his emailbox and start doing his job, thats really "awesome"

I tried to say the contrary actually: They are slow and have many mails, therefore you raise your chances if you send another mail because it will land on top of all the other mails. |

yep, but on the other hand, they should systematically proceed by solving oldest requests and go thru to new ones, and if like you say they have many mails than sending bunch of mails from every user is causing this situation so it doesnt seem to me as a solution ...
ps: just wonder what caused my act. number "blacklisted", i used only once, and didnt gave my number to anyone and thats the only reasons i can imagine why it would be on that blacklist ...
damn i just want to enjoy riding my season in pcm, not be dealing with this crap

According to some books you should categorize your mails into three categories: important, urgent, not important. And if you have more mails than you can handle, then you should handle the important first.
And even if the person at focus did not read these books, you should make sure that your mail(s) are considered important and/or urgent. Normally you can raise your problem on the urgent scale by mailing often and even better by calling them by phone.
To get a higher importance, you should do these:
- Use the same mail address you used to buy the game
- Give them some proof that you bought the game, for example by forwarding the mail with the game key. A copy from your credit card bill, or whatever.
- Clearly state what your problem is: You need another key
- Clearly state which game you are refering to.
About the blacklist:
Are you sure about that, I never heard about this before.
But maybe your mail or key got hacked. |

hh feels like noob ... no seriously, thanks for these advicies, ive done all that to the last point. seems like the focus or whatever the producer is having a holiday time ...
about the black list its the report message i got when i try to activate the game with my act. code. about the mail, am always pretty good firewalled, also useing Opera as a browser which is level higher in security, speed and modability than others (not mentioning horrific IE)

finally got the response, and its weird as hell, seems like joke to me ...
"For security reasons, your purchase was cancelled and the payment refunded." thats true, ive just checked my account, than i absolutely dont get how come theyve sent me the email with the code just like ive regulary purchased the game if transaction was cancelled, weird really ... |

I had no activations left so i contacted Cyanide and they immediately gave me three new activations so the answer is Yes!
