I'm currently doing an assignment on the effects of drugs on pro cycling and was curious if anyone knows some good helpful websites, maybe post aa link or something?
Thanks in advance.

Aside from some doping related articles, you can find there some analysis of the performances in cycling by Michele Ferrari.

And also, there are numerous books on the issue.
Although none really come to mind right now.

i did a 12,000 words essay with case study on this study and how is it effecting the tour...
good books are:
tour de vices - bruno roussel (ds of festina in 98)
massacre a la chaine - willy voet (soigneur of festina at the same time)
put me back on my bike - william fotheringham (a biography of tom simpson who died died to doping)
blazing saddles - matt rendell (looks at the history of the tour and mentions all the different types of doping over the years)
if not just google it and a lot will come up. there are many articles on newspaper websites, magazines websites, and general cycling websites.
hope that helps

The head of research at the Italian Olympic Committee (CONI), Sandro Donati , recounts his personal story about twenty years of fighting against doping in Italian and international sport. An unbelievable story which nevertheless is true.
Maybe not exactly what you're looking for, but a very interesting read. |
