Rider about to retire.

I don't know where to ask this so I just made a new thread.
Anyway, I just found out that Thor Hushovd is about to retire after the second season. I really want to have him in my team some more years, so is there a way to prevent him to retire? If I change it in the editor, do I have to make a new save then or will he continue?
Is there another way to do it?

age decline has nothing to do with the year he does retire.
You have to edit the contract. But I cannot recall what exactly you have to do. |

If you open up you savegame in PCM Fast Editor and in Cyclists look for Hushovd, then look under the column "kfIDcyclist _future", it will say RETRAITE (Retiring) change it to SATISFAIT_DE_RESTER (Happy to Stay) and should fix it along with change to contract ending date and age of decline.
The full list for cyclist future options is below with a rough English translation, if someone knows more accurate meanings it would be appreciated if they could update:
1 FACHE - Angry
2 TRISTE_DE_PARTIR - Sad to leave
3 IMPATIENT_DE_PARTIR - impatient to leave?
4 VEUT_RESIGNER -Wants new contract
5 NE_VEUT_PAS_RESIGNER - Does not want to sign a new contract
6 SATISFAIT_DE_RESTER - Happy with team
7 DOUTE - Has doubts
8 SANS_EQUIPE - Free Team
9 A_TROUVE_UN_CONTRAT - Has found a contract
10 N_EST_PAS_RENOUVELE - Contract not yet renewed
11 RETRAITE - Retiring

6 is "doesn't want to sign a new contract", the negation of 5. Resign is a mean word in french  it means sign again. |

Thank you! I think it worked! When I click the "renew" button, it says that the rider is about to retire, but the contract goes out in 2014 and he's happy to stay. Again, thank you!

If the rider wants to retire, I think that there's nothing you can do to make him change idea... sorry! |
