Twin terror attack shocks Norway as both blast on government HQ and shooting spree on political youth camp results in carnage.
First, blast lead to seven deaths and several injured in Oslo city center, later over 80 youths confirmed killed on youth-camp on island nearby. Numbers probably higher later today.
Police have arrested 32 year old norwegian right-wing extremist.

My thoughts are with Norway, this is very sad
One thing i dont get is why kids between 14-18 are brought to some political youth camp, as this is not typical in countries where i live

Sad news indeed.
@Avin: Technically, the camp was organized by a youth-organization run by politically interested young people. Political youth associations are not uncommon, and are usually created, run and organized by interested youngsters themselves.

It will come out in time. Some people are just extremists, you see the islamic extremists. The majority of muslims are fine and nice people, some are idiots and are extremists.
I've never seen it like this politically before (just one guy). But he is an extremist and in the minority. Thats what you have to remember.

If i get it right, they were politically active teenagers,so it wasnt standart kids summer camp.Important fact was that they were alone on the island without escape route i think.
And these crazy basterds doesn't need the point,or better to say " point which we sane people can understand"
And it is all just a speculations,police will hopefully find some clues later.

It was coordinated even if it's just one guy. I heard a psychologists say, after having analysed how the attack was done and what he has wrote on different places, that he is a very smart guy who has planned this down to the least detail.

A 2nd person was just arrested. On the place where i think several victims is gathered, and also the Prime Minister is atm.
Norwegian TV2 just said that he supposed to have a knife.
