So if thats the truth.
It basicly means, that no breakaway could accure on the first stages?
because anyone is a matter of fact equal in the GC.
So there must be some meaning to the AI somewhere.
Like, if its a flat finish (a sprint stage in general), the Sprinter teams must have interests in who is in the breakaways, and for the matter if they are a contender to the point jersey, or if they can take too many points to the jersey or not.
And same must go to the KoM jersey teams. on Hilly stages.
And actually the GC teams aswell.
Or am i wrong in that?

Just keep on trying. There is no standard way to get into the early breakaway for sure, but here is how I often manage.
- pick a rider from your squad that is no danger in the GC, nor is he a top rider in the peloton.
- get your rider up front in the peloton and wiat till someone attacks.
- follow the attack
- When the first attacker is out of energy, do not take over, other riders will take over the attack and you can follow them instead.
- Finally a breakaway group wil be formed, this is the moemnt you start taking relay at 60-70%.
- Now wether your breakaway will succeed is entirely dependend on the peloton. If one of the teams missed the boat and make pace, chances are small the breakaway will succeed. If this heppens, go back to the fist step and try again.
-Once you got a fair gap (+1 min) and the peloton doesn't make a pace to catch you back, you can lower your relay effort to 40-50%
If my rider are a contender to one of the jerseys overall.
Then the teams to the respective jersey may have some sort of interests in following the breakaway.
But again. makes no sense that in the first stage of Down under tour.
A breakaway with far better rider than mine, got away.
But if i tried to keep my rider in the breakaway, the peleton will hunt him down :S
As far as I know the AI teams only care about the general classification, they do not care about the other jerseys.
Other than that, it is a fact that AI riders have higher chances to get away. Sometimes you can get the impression as if the whole peloton is racing against your team. This is how the game tries to prevent that you send a rider in the early break always.
What i dont get is, that there are teams like HTC etc. who have GREAT GREAT sprinters. i dont get why Cyanide has not make it a fact that those teams care for the sprint jerseys.
And same to the teams with great hilly riders who hasnt got a decent GT GC contender, and then goes for the KoM jerseys.
that those teams should attack or set the pace if they need to follow a dangerous rider for their goals.
