Hi everyone,
I opened my ports succesfully and I still cannot host online games. When I put my firewall off, it still does not work. Does anyone know why?

There's more to hosting than just opening the ports. For example, the ports are usually only opened for one IP. Are you using that IP? |

Yes, I opened my ports in my firewall. I just checked using a site if they were open, it said that they were not open. Do I only need to open it in firewall or also somewhere else? |

Where did I mention a firewall? Read my post again
Plus, you have to open the ports in your router interface and disable the firewall completely. |

Just add pcm to the allowed programms in your firewall. you dont have to disable your firewall.
You have to forward the ports, to your pc where you play pcm.
From a dos box, go to start, type in searchbar cmd press enter
a black box will showup.
type ipconfig /all
Find the ipv4 adress. that is the ip you have to use in your port forward settings on your router. |

Do you know how to access your router?
In the ipconfig/all you also find a default gateway
Thats the ip of your router, probably something like 192.168.0.1
or 192.168.0.254 type the ip you find, in your addressbar from your internetexplorer. if its all right a login screen showup.
the login info you have to find in the manual of your router. |

Ye Sorry, was just a little fascinated about they were not open.
How do I get to the router interface? I already tried hosting with no firewall, that did not work out. |

Actually I would like to know this, too. I already tried lots of things and still not working.
- Opened ports in the router (as for my Xbox where it works)
- Opened ports in the windows firewall
- allowed PCM in the firewall and antivirus program
- Disabled the windows firewall and antivirus program
- even disabled the router firewall
and still not working. |

Depends on your router, thats your problem, as long as you dont forward the ports, you can disable what you want. It will not gona work |

most of the time you dont have to open ports specific on your firewall, adding the program is enough, just give it full access
What firewall you use?
What router do you have ? |

The problem is usually that you're opening the ports for an IP that you're not using.
For example, when I open ports on my router, I'm also asked to specify an IP. The ports are opened, but only when I use that IP. |
