What's the deal with altered bike geometries

I am currently downloading pcm 2011 and have read how they have changed the bike geomoetries etc...What does this mean in terms of effecting the game?

Pretty much nothing. The only good feature is that the equipment auto-colors itself, so no more Yellow helmets for Euskaltel.

They might look a tad different but its barely noticable.
