So we are starting the off-season, and for managers the time of planning, and no doubt scheming, is starting to kick-in to action. Which riders are you going to renew? Is there a free agent taking your fancy? Has a rider on another team caught your eye?
But for the riders, it is perhaps a less enjoyable time. Some will be insecure - have they done enough in the season to be renewed? Is their manager looking to bring in somebody to replace them - or demote them within the team? Or perhaps its a case of, which team is going to pay me the most?
The riders will soon be making their contracts demands to their current teams, but before that, their agents are on the prowl - searching through the media forum for any hint that the market value of their riders is on the up.
But at the moment, the agents are dissapointed. Theres not a lot of action going on in the Teams HQ forum. Some are looking for reassurances that the position of their rider within their team is safe - others are keen to get an idea of just how a contract their riders should demand.
So managers, will you rise to the call of the agents and fill their inboxes with press releases?

You can only have a Teams HQ thread if you are a manager in the game, so no. But the decision on new managers will come soonish

I guess it's a good time to create a new HQ thread for my team then, for the new season of course...
This is pretty interesting, looking forward to see how much influence statements can have on the riders wage demands!

Knowing that the selection of new mangers is coming gets me almost as excited/ nervous as I do prior to exam results... Still, should be interesting to see how the managers go about the transfers and stuff, regardless. |

I know how they feel, so do not be to harsh on them, it's a pain to not know if they will be accepted or not ;-)
Anyway, will make a new team thread tomorrow with some press releases and plans etc ;-)
