Hey!
Been looking around on the forums for a career starter guide with info on such things as where to scout, how many coaches to hire, how to optimize training - and peaking my riders before the important races.
Anyone able to give some advice, or point me in the right direction if there is a previous post i've missed?
Thanks! |

Thank you very much
Still abit fuzzy on the fitness points system tho
Does the 20 points from racing mean my rider will peak at his 20th race day with a fitness schedule set to peak a week earlier?
And what is the maximum amount of riders i should assign to a trainer?
Again, sorry for the silly questions |

The more riders your coach is training, the less effective he becomes. At 8 riders he still has Excellent as his effectiveness, 9 riders it goes down to very good. I'm not sure how many it takes to get him to bad, but I think Very Good is the least you should aim for.
The Fitness Q I'll leave to others to answer. |

I did not understand your fitness question but I give some facts:
1. Race fitness: Normally it does not take 20 race days to reach the peak. (It is faster to re-build the race fitness if your rider already peaked before). Also in GTs you can use the first stages to build the race fitness (if the mountain stages are later in the race)
2. Training fitness: The training schedule will always applied, even if your rider is participating in a race. If you set the training peak in the second week of the TdF then your rider will peak then.
3. The total fitness is the sum of the training and race fitness. So you do not need to set an early peak (or whatever you asked) |

If i set say Hushovd's training schedule to peak for paris-roubaix and TdF who will be his main goal of the season, what is the ideal number of race days prior to P-R?
Im guessing the training automatically takes care of his training fitness, and that you get 1 race fitness per race day?
According to his program this season he has 17 race days before P-R, so i guess it would make sence to copy his riding program into the game unless he has other race requests in the season planner tool. :-) |

a rider could not reach maximum race fitness (x/20) if he has raced less than 15 racedays. with less racedays his maximum fitness will be lower (e.g. x/14).
so be sure that your leader has raced at least 15 days before his season goal.
to predict race fitness (the "x" in the previous ratio), i have no clue of the calculation system but, as a rule of thumb, i consider each day the rider has raced as a +2 and each day he hasn't raced as a -1. If he has raced at least 15 days in the season and continuosly for 10 days prior the event he should reach 20/20.
