Since my last story with Spidertech, I have had trouble playing careers. I had a good one with De Rosa Stac Plastic where I signed Pellizotti and he ende up winning the 2010 Giro after Nibali crashed. I also had a great career with Partisan Srbija where Ivan Stevic (don't hate me) was 15th in the Conti Rankings by July. Now I was thinking the last two days of another team to choose when I finally thought of Caisse, my favourite team. I decided that this would be a perfect team to choose for my next story. I chose Caisse because they are my favourite team, and also because, I thought it would be the best team to manage that is still in the PT. I wrote a Caisse story with PCM 08 and I hope to improve on that one with even better results this time 'round.

When you look at this squad the first thing you will probably notice is our 2 superstar riders, JJ Rojas and LL Sanchez. Both riders main season goals will be the Tour de France, where Rojas hopes to win a stage and if possible be in the hunt for the Green Jersey. LL Sanchez also wants to win a stage and he wants a top 10 in the GC. One of our newest signings Ruben Plaza also looks like a good biker and he should do well in some smaller races and help support LL Sanchez for the TDF unless plans change. Our sprinting looks fairly weak besides Rojas, but Drujon could contest in some smaller races. Some day we hope he can develop into a good sprinter. For the cobbles we have Arnaud Coyot who could finish in the top 20 at Roubaix and place well in smaller cobbles races.

Leaders:

Luis Leon Sanchez:
images41.fotki.com/v1347/photos/1/1292031/7291055/LuisLeonSanchezAbarcasports006-vi.jpg
Sanchez is probably our best rider and not only that, but also probably one of the best all round cyclists in the world. He can climb better than most can, sprint pretty well and time-trial very well. His main goal is the Tour de France.

Jose Joaquin Rojas Gil
images51.fotki.com/v1541/photos/1/1292031/7706739/uinRojasFotoTeamCaissedEpargne-vi.jpg

Rojas is our teams best sprinter. He has been riding with the team since 2007. He has established himself as the best Spanish sprinter in the world, and one of the best from any country. We hope he can progress into a future Green Jersey winner some day.

David Arroyo
estaticos02.cache.el-mundo.net/elmundodeporte/imagenes/2007/06/03/1180893220_0.jpg

Arroyo is the teams best pure climber. It seems like his best days are behind him, but with Alejandro Valverde's suspension a door has been opened for him to show us what he's got. His is to win a stage in a grand tour, but also to finish high at Clasica San Sebastien.

Ruben Plaza
1.bp.blogspot.com/_HKPpHy5tOK0/TIUVlbM4XlI/AAAAAAAAAEg/kAQaiwLYNjw/S350/Ruben+Plaza.jpg

Plaza's goals are not quite as clear as other, but he should ride in atleast one GT this season. His climbing ability is under-rated and I beleive he can produce quite the palmares this season if he is in form.

Rigoberto Uran
www.elcorreo.com/vizcaya/prensa/noticias/200902/15/fotos/2064402.jpg
Uran is one of the teams best young riders, if not the best. He has already proven last season that he can climb very well even in the Tour de France if he puts his mind to it. At 22 years old he is only going to improve so expect great things from this rider in a year or two.

Arnaud Coyot
upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/7/7c/Arnaud_Coyot.jpg/250px-Arnaud_Coyot.jpg
Coyot is the teams only hope on the cobbles. As mainly a climbing team we don't expect that much from cobble races, so maybe if there is less pressure on Coyot he will perform very well. Our main hope is that he acheive's his personal goals as we value him highly on the team.

Obviously with a strong sprinter, we came here to win. Rojas should manage the hills each day and be able to pick up enough points to take the sprinters jersey when it is over and done with. LL Sanchez is our Captain as he has the best shot of overall victory.

img695.imageshack.us/img695/4904/tdu1profile.jpg

As a stage that looks for the sprinters, some of the weaker sprinting teams sent riders into the break, early on in the day. Most didn't think that the break had any chance today, but as one of the top sprint teams here believe it or not, we had to chase down the break which had about 10 minutes lead on us at the time (80km left). We sent Jose Gutierrez and Erviti to bring them back.

With 15km left the break had 2 minutes gap to us and looked like they would survive, but with 5km left and our sprint train moving along quickly we swept the break up.

img88.imageshack.us/img88/6261/tdu1winner.jpg
LL Sanchez lead out for Rojas and basically this was a repeat of Renshaw/Cav at Champs last season. Rojas stayed in front for the easy win. (I appologize for the Giro banners, forgot to change the sponsorkit.)

img651.imageshack.us/img651/7594/australiaj.png Santos Tour Down Under Stage 2

img209.imageshack.us/img209/2032/tdu2profile.jpg
The stage looks slightly harder than the previous days stage, and with more sprinters coming on to early season form, we could (and hope) for a closer sprint finish, if it comes to that. The course looks apeasing to the breakaway specialists, and maybe it will satisfy them today.

Out on course, Caisse decided to hold some early pace at the front until a break got clear. That happened 21km into the stage and contained neither, a rider of any importants or that of a rider anywhere near Rojas in the GC standings. We stat back for the middle sector of the stage and to our pleasure HTC decided to chase down the BOTD as Cavendish and Renshaw wanted to be a part of the sprint today. With 30km we heard a voice on the race radio that the course would be cut short because of huge storms last weekend.(I don't know what happened but it all of a sudden shortened by about 20km).
We set up a strong train for Rojas again and not even HTC tried setting up their own train, but instead, followed ours. Rojas got an early lead in the sprint thanks to Drujon.

img535.imageshack.us/img535/1305/tdu2winner.jpg
Haedo came fast on the outside and it looked as though he was going to pass Jose Joaquin but the finish line came out of nowhere and Rojas held on for our 2nd victory of the Tour Down Under. This was a huge surprise to all of us, but we are very happy with the result. Rojas looks to be in great shape. (Lets hope this ends so I don't have to up the difficulty to Extreme)

img651.imageshack.us/img651/7594/australiaj.png Santos Tour Down Under Stage 3

img242.imageshack.us/img242/3926/tdu3profile.jpg

Its classified as a flat stage, but I don't think too many sprinters circled this day on their race calendar. With a succesion of short hills towards the end, it will be tough for the pure sprinters to find success. Our hope for this stage is again to be a part of the sprint.

Nearly the whole stage passed before we had any real action.

img98.imageshack.us/img98/5856/tdu3attackherm.jpg
Ben Hermans launches an attack to get away from the rest of the BOTD with only 20km left. And succeeds. He has about 20 seconds back to the main BOTD and that group has about 1:30 to the peloton again with about 20km left.

img163.imageshack.us/img163/786/tdu3attackll.jpg
Now with less than 20km left, LL Sanchez attacks, one a small hill during the large and last downhill section of the race. We decided to get him in a move as it helps us out if the break wins, he'll be there to get some time on the peloton, or he can start the train for the sprint seeing as he would be the furthest up out of all our guys.

img228.imageshack.us/img228/3240/tdu4train.jpg
7km now and its back to plan "b". Sanchez will help with the sprint train which has been unbeatable so far. Hermans is still up the road a bit, but is in clear sight.

img822.imageshack.us/img822/6782/tdu3sprint.jpg
Hermans just gets swept up as we begin the sprint up the steep hill. Rojas moves out of the slipstream of Costa and tried to follow his teammates a few metres ahead.

img403.imageshack.us/img403/10/tdu3winner.jpg
And I guess because of the quick succesion of uphill->downhill->uphill->downhill all 4 of our riders managed to get away from the others. And surprisingly enough we hold on for the trifecta. Rojas takes the easiest win so far.
Cav cried after the stage.

This will be known as the greatest and hardest win of all-time on Hard. So much so I might have forgotten to export results. Rolling Eyes
