Hey,
I have been playing the new update and pcm expansion pack and I have found sprint finishes really easy. I have had three 1-2 finish in 3 mass sprints at TdU. I know it is early in the season, and fitness will not be the best for the other riders, but my leadouts have been what can only be described as 'iffy' and at times I start the sprint from within the peleton, but I win so easily. The other teams set up their lead outs but burn out as soon as they sprint...
anyone had the same problem? if so what you done to remove it? I know winning is good but this is boring

I've experienced alot of weird weak stage results as only one or two of the top sprinters actually go for the sprint while riders like Boonen with a high sprint stat simply stats within the peloton and finishes around 30th place.
I'm not sure if you're experiencing the same but if you do that would definitely be something that makes stuff easier. |

@crommy: i'm htc, and lead out train is hansen, roulston, goss and griepel. rival sprinters are ebh, friere, bos, sabatini, farrar and pettachi.
@beagle: i only had a 3 day pre season camp in which the most done was the 3/4h endurance, so i dont think that will give a huge boost over the others
@cruetrue: ive never experienced it before when playing on normal difficulty, so thats why i highlighted the problem. unless this new update takes early season races and lack of fitness into account more
@marble: only ever had funny ones once or twice before, but that was because it was a hilly stage, and i dont think that farrar, cav, pettachi had enough left to take the sprint

seems it just was the TdU that was the problem. sprints have been more competitive in qatar and omen, eventhough the top sprinters are always sprinting against me after they have had their lead out

i just played the last stage of vuelta catalunya with htc and cavendish as sprinter made a great lead out, renshaw last man infront of cavendish he is in first posistion till maybe 20m before the finish, the he he drops back as if he got onto the brake to the 6th even behind renshaw!!
wtf is this??

i have a few times. if you look at the speeds, the winner was 3km slower than cav for me, but cav went back as if he was stopped... no idea if it a bug or not

Yes, when i use my lead out tactic for Hushovd. well it goes like:
Sagan,Sanchez,Phinney,Haussler and then Hushovd.
And thats very much easier than to just being on Cavs wheel.

This isn`t actually a real bug. It just looks totally wrong. If everything would be fine he should have lost speed over the whole 3km and other riders will overtake you. But for no reason at all the game recognizes this much too late and before giving Cavendish an undeserved win thy put him back immediately short before the line.
This looks totally weird but the result is like it is supposed to be. Just the animation is wrong.
Cyanide reproduced this problem but can`t probably handle it to look more normal.
Luckily this happens quite rare in comparison to all sprints.

ok it doesnt happen often, though i dont get why, since once the red bar didnt run out yet when it happened and 2nd, and that makes me even wondering more, why the hell is renshaw eventho beeing lead out for cav, not beeing better in shape, niether according to his daily form nor to his general condition (in fact both were at 99), faster than cavendish!
:S im playing with pcm dailys db and comparing thier stats there is no reason at all cav the far better sprinter and not worse at hills and mountains either...
i really have to struggle to get stage wins with him, apart from really nearly 100% flat stages there is almost no way, even a small hill somewhere which didnt even made him touching his red bar means low speed in the sprints, easier to get a high number of stages wins with mauro finetto...
