Just wondering if there is an easy way to change the name of the Cya Pro Tour to the UCI Pro Tour without needing a new database? Its just I've put quite a lot of work into the one I have and would preferably like to keep it. Cheers. |

If you change the sta_division of your DB and rename cyatoptour to UCI Pro Tour it will change the name in your cyclist palmares. But there is no change in the rankings. So there must be another line to change. |

You can change the name in STA_localized_string and STA_formated_string in the Local.cdb |

OK well I'm a bit of a rookie when it comes to this sort of thing so could you explain that in simple terms please! |

Open up your local.cdb in Hannes Converter or something like it. Then, go to the lines that Mike mentioned and change what is entered into them. |

Dan: You need to download the Full Editor. It's available from the download section (PCM08 -> Editors).
Take the Local.cdb from My Documents/PCM and copy it to the Full Editor's Database folder. Open the Full Editor, remember to click "Local.cdb patch".
In your Exports folder, open the folder inside and find the two files that I mentioned above. Do a Search / Replace, save and return to the Full Editor.
Edit: It should be said, though, that this is not a very simple procedure - so, yeah, it's difficult when you're new, but after all, that's the 'cost'

Another possibility is the Hannes Converter. In my eyes this is a little bit easier, but everybody thinks different to everyone.
1. Open the local.cdb in your documents with the converter:
2. In the new window you mark both (Strg + Left Click)
3. Now you can open both tables and scroll through it. You look for you language and change all the Cya Top Tour to UCI Pro Tour.
These are just 2 examples, there will be more.
One annyoing thing is that you have to scroll and look carefully. There is no search function, maybe that`s an advantage of the full editor?!?!?
Always when you finished a table ayou have to click save on the bottom, before you close it and open the next table, otherwise there won`t be changes, After finishing all tables you save on top and overwrite the local.cdb. Please make a backup. |

Officially, Hannes Converter isn't fully compatible with the Local.cdb. I haven't used it, though, so I don't know for sure.
Also, a minor disadvantage, as you mention, is that you can't seach / replace. It takes 10 seconds to change all Cya Top Tour-'names' with the Full Editor whereas it'd take several minutes with Hannes Converter. |

Really? I changed a lot on the local.cdb with the Converter and never had a problem.
The time question is a point, why I should learn to handle the full editor |

Alright cheers for all the help guys. Just one more issue I've had though with the Hannes Converter. I've managed to change everything to UCI Pro Tour except in the welcoming email you get with a new game. Anyone know where to change that? I know its being picky but I am a perfectionist! |

It should be in the STA_formatted_string. |
