Hey guys, this will be my first story in Daily but I'm going to do my best to make it worth reading. As you can see then I have chosen the great french/spanish team Caisse d'Epargne. I have always been a fan of Valverde, so it was a easy choice to make. I will be using Dailys 2010 DB and I will be playing on hard too!
Caisse d’Epargnes story goes all the way back to the good old from the good old Banesto days, where Indurain managed to win the Tour de France fifth times in a row! . Since then have the name changed a few times, but you have always found some of the greatest climbers especially from Spain.. Since the team now is sponsored by a French bank then there is a mix between riders from those nationalities.
Caisse d’Epargnes squad for the new season
The biggest star of the team in the last couple of seasons has been without any doubt Alejandro Valverde and he shall again lead the team towards another successful season.
Valverde managed to win his first GT win in the Vuelta a España, but he didn't enjoy the same success in the ardenne classics. Alejandro shall try to win L-B-L again and he will also go for the win in Amstel and Fleche. I'm still a little unsure if he will race the classics + the tour or he will take a break from cycling after Volta a Catalonia and then go for the overall Vuelta classification as he did with great success last year.
Even through Alejandro is our biggest star then we might have the heir to him in Luis Leon Sanchez!
Sanchez managed to win Paris-Nice last year and he got a stage win in last years Tour de france! This lad got a lot of potential because he is a phenomenal downhiller, he is a good climber and he is a strong in the timetrials.
Mario Bruseghin, Juan Mauricio Soler and not to mention another big talent Rigoberto Urán are also riders that will be very important for the team.
The Squad is based on strong climbers and good punchurs but we also got a talented sprinter named Rojas. He will not get the greatest support for the sprints, but perhaps some of our climbers can line up a train for him like Columbia for Cavendish...
The team got 3 very good sponsors to help us stay in the top of the protour and the goals for next season are very realistic for us to complete.
Valverde is our strongest bet for winning San Sebastian, but only if he rides the Tour.
That's why Sanchez can end up as our captain for that race since he will race the Tour de France and he will also try go for a top 10 spot something I believe he can do.
Contract Status
I have already managed to renew the contracts with 3 riders for the next seasons. Lossado, Rui Costa and Soler will stay in the team after this year.
Arnold Jeanneson is not sure if he will accept the contract I offered him while Drujon, Lastras, Pérez og Zandio all have to leave the team unless they manage to do something incredible.
There are many interesting riders who haven't got a contract for the next season. The Schleck brothers, Joaquin Rodriquez and Devolder are all riders that I would love to see being part of Caisse d'Epargnes 2011 squad. We got enough money to bring at least one big name rider to the team but we can instead of spending our remaining budget on one rider, then we can get two or three great riders. Mosquera, Barredo and Igor Anton are also riders that I will be following for the next months especially if there current teams can't renew their contracts!
The race program for January
We will only be riding Santos Tour Down Under before we enter February where Caisse d'Epagne will feature in a lot more races.

Santos Tour Down Under is the biggest bike race of Australia
and organizers hope as always that one of their own can deliver some stunning performances. After the race got upgraded to the Protour, then the interest have been bigger from the teams and this years edition is no difference.
Petacchi, Farrar, Pozzatto og Boasson Haagen, who perhaps is the biggest favourite to claim the overall win, are all riders who we will be keeping a eye on under the race. The only downside about this years Tour down Under is that the last winner of the race the Australian sprinter Allan Davis not take part of this year’s edition.
I have decided to sent a strong squad to Australia and the seven riders can hopefully manage to get some good results. Our Captain will be Rojas who seems to be in good shape after the preseason camp in Spain. He will try to get some top five stage results and his good hill abilities can give him the edge over Petacchi when it comes to the general classification.
Gutierrez, Moreau and Lastras are also strong enough to make the difference if they have the leg and we are looking forward to stage 5 because it’s a stage that suits our type of riders.

well since you completly took the team i'm writing about in 08 stories section I won't be nice to you so........
Spoiler That team picture is from 08 becasue Vladimir Karpets is in it and Joaquim rodriquez. Also no hard feelings but now iv'e got some competion altough I would've prefered a diferent team cause now no one will follow mine. You also misspelt epargne you spelt it like epagne. But anyway good luck because I made some mistakes like this too (but not this bad.)

Sorry made i didn't pick this team because I enjoy being a idiot towards other people. I don't hope you see it as a competition because what is the winners prize? I didn't know that there also was a Caisse d'Epagne story going on in the old game but i suppose it's just as interesting to read about yours compared to mine - if not even more!
I don't hope you got any harsh feelings because I didn't now you had started a Caisse d'Epagne story since I have only checked the 09 section for stories.
There should be plenty of room for to stories of the same team and especially since it's based on to different games.

Stage 1
The first stage of the race is totally flat and it will probably end in as mass sprint finish. Petacchi, Farrar and Hagen are for me the biggest favorites for todays stage win but I hope that Rojas can manage a top 5 result.
We are off! The first race for Caisse d’Epargne and the first protour race have finally been started.
Todays breakaway that included the rising French star Romain Sicard was being controlled by Team Sky.

Shortly after Sicard had managed to secure the hill jersey from the only hillsprint of the stage – the breakaway got caught.
When the peloton had five kilometres to the finish line was Farrars people setting the tempo before the mass sprint. Rojas was looking sharp and he had also Gutierrez to help him for the sprint.
Gutierrez with Rojas on his wheel managed to create a small gap to the peloton because when the last Garmin rider had leaved the front – then the tempo was slowed down for a few seconds!
Rojas really had to dig deep to hold off the big guns but thanks to some brilliant teamwork between him and Gutierrez, then he could cross the line as a surprising stage winner of this years Tour down Under!

Well I'm good but things are always easier when your rider got 5+ As I mentioned in the report, then Gutierrez and Rojas got a small gap to the other big guns because the AI somehow slowed the speed down just before the sprint. Luckily for me but it was nice to start with a victory.

When you export your result, copy the rows you want in the result list here. Then press the icon with the spreadsheet and press 100%. At last, paste your rows from Excel, and your resultlist would look way better..
For your racing: Great ride! You can take this far with Rojas..

Aye will do so but the only problem is that i already have around 20 reports with this setup - but i will do it like that for now on when i write a race report! Thanks for the tip and well i can only say that some great stages awaits

Stage 2
Today’s stage is another chance for the sprinters to fight for the stage win. The 134 kilometres are very flat and even through we managed to surprise the big sprinters yesterday, then it will be very hard to beat them again. Petacchi is my favourite for the stage but Rojas is in good shape so I expect him to fight for a top five place.
The start of the stage was starting extremely intense as many riders tried to get away from the peloton. We didn’t allow any big groups out, so it was a group of five riders who managed to start today’s breakaway. Among them was Liquigas good cobblestone rider Quinzato but even though the breakaway got more and more time to the peloton – then both Katushca and Rabobank helped us controlling them.
Bertogliati was the last of rider of today’s breakaway to be caught by the peloton controlled by Caisse d’Epargne but Sky decided to take the front before the final kilometres - preparing the sprint for Hagen.
We had again managed to create a fine train for Rojas but with under a kilometre left came Hondo with captain Petacchi with so much speed that the Spaniard got passed.
Rojas didn’t have the legs to fight for the stage win, but the former lead out man for legendary Erik Zabel, Danilo Hondo, didn’t seem interested letting Petacchi pass him and he tried to steal the win from his own team leader!
A replay was needed for the organizers to find out who actually won today’s sprint but Petacchi managed to press his bike inches in front of his own team mate and Mark Renshaw, who was almost leaving the Lampre team empty handed took third.

Rojas was not far away from Petacchi today and tomorrow is a stage that is perfectly suited for our sprinter! The finish is actually pretty hard and Petacchi will have a difficult time sprinting at the final hill – while Rojas, Pozzato and Hagen defiantly will try to get a stage win.

Well the race is already a success after the stage win he gave us! But I fear that he wont be able to go with the big guys like Pozzatto and Hagen if they attack a long way out from the finish on stage 5.
