In what world can you just retroactively say that times and the stage placings are taken at some point 20 minutes ago and call it a day? Riders raced that climb thinking there was another. For instance Kruijswijk might have gone if he didn't want to save his teammate as long as possible.
Very poorly done. As Phil Ligget rightly (!) mentioned, the broadcasters knew there was hail even before they reached the top. if something was gonna be done, it should have been done then and not halfway down the descent.
Egan Bernal will win this TDF on a technicality.

It's a joke of a decision to tell them after they pass the climb. Hey, you know that climb you just past. Yeah that was the end of the stage. I mean they found about that snow just 5 seconds ago?
